I've noticed this a lot in BTVS/ATS, why do the demons, vampires, and monsters want the world to end? Don't they realize that when the world ends THE DEMONS, VAMPIRES AND MONSTERS WHO MADE IT END THEY'LL DIE TOO?!

I've wondered this too... Maybe they don't mind going to Hell? Maybe they feel like they want to take over the world by destroying it and turning it into the ruins of Hell and kill all the humans on it? 😛
I think it's more symbolic. I don't think they really want to destroy the world, they want to bring chaos and hell. They want to slave the humans and destroy their world. Then they create their own new world with new rules and so on... For the humans it'll be as if they destroy their world.

I always interpreted it that way too
But they won't die. By the world ending, the bad guys usually mean that the world as we know it will end. Monsters will be in the open and if there are remaining humans at all, they will be prey or slaves.
