There actually is a "blue raspberry", although it's more purple in color. Grows in the Western USA. It's called a Blackcap Raspberry, and is more tart than regular ones.

Having said that, pretty much all "blue raspberry" products are created artificially.

One for me, Cheese in a can. Who came up with that? I've never tasted it, but its the strangest idea. Why would you need cheese in a pressurized spray tin? Why does this exist?

Marketing, it's all in coming up with an new and more expensive way to pick the consumer's pockets with products they don't know they need.

It's the marketing's job to convince the public that they actually do "need" something that they really don't just to get them to buy it! They don't know they "need" something until someone tells them they do, and if they are gullible enough to believe it then a sale is made and the marketing dept. gets a raise.

Here's something I believe should exist but doesn't : cake icing infused with insulin so that anyone can eat any amount without getting the usual sugar rush or diabetic coma. It may be expensive but I bet a lot of people would buy it.

But not practical. Fast acting insulin has to be injected, takes 20-30 minutes to get started, and is at its best 2-3 hours later. Oral insulin doesn't exist because it is destroyed by enzymes in the digestive tract. You have to take other meds (Metformin for example) if you're taking oral medication, and none of them are particularly quick.

@Ethan It's an interesting idea. I have the "advantage" in having diabetes myself so I've explored a lot of options.

My vote for "why does this exist" is soup on the go. Convenient serving size! You can drink it straight from the can! Except you still have to heat it up, which is all you have to do with regular soup.

Yes, and people whose bodies can, at the moment, produce insulin, are not immune from overdosing on it. I do think the long term solution for the problem does lie in better food and biomechanical implants, the short term solution is probably moderation.

Also, property taxes assume that your wealth matches your property size. But that's really only true when you buy it. I know older people who have stayed in the same home they bought for maybe $25,000 50 years ago ($160,000 in today's dollars) now struggling to pay taxes on a current valuation north of $800,000. Incomes have gone up, but not nearly as much as property values around here.

At least our council tax rates, our equivalent of property tax though I believe less pricey, are frozen at the valuation done in 1991 (or 2003 in Wales for some reason). Property prices have gone up a lot since then. New properties are assigned a 1991/2003 valuation.

A revaluation has apparently been planned, but fortunately this has not happened.
