Why/How you chose your Username

I love the song nymphetamine. :'D

My username is the one I use everywhere, it's also my e-mail address. It's a reference to a line or two in the Firefly ep Shindig, in which Serenity is described by Atherton Wing as a "piece of go-se" (I spell it different, see my thread on the Check-In board for a full explanation). It means "piece of dog-doo" & is meant in a humorous-british-self-depricating-kind-of a-way. 🙂

Since I changed it I guess I should post again. Why Washburne? Because Wash was taken. Why Wash? Yes that is a mystery.

 

[Wishing Oceans]

Since I also just changed my name, I probably better post again...

WO is my initials (Wishing Oceans). I figured that since most people just call me WO (Wishing Oceans is pretty long) I might as well switch it, mostly for security reasons... 🙂

As for the C part, well, it was mostly because usernames have to be at least three characters long, but it also stands for my favorite character: Cordelia.

(Of course, it could also be kinda like saying "Wishing Oceans... See?" 😀 )

Frketson is my name when put into a brazilian football name generator. It sounded catchy and i've kept it for a few years now, you might see me on other random forums around the net.

I used to be Follow The Blind at one stage when i had an unhealthy relationship with that titled Blind Guardian album.

Chris is my actual name. Yep, not too much originality there. :smile:

I think you can guess mine. 😉 I wanted a character name when I changed it, and Lindsey is my favourite character. No-brainer really.

My original name was "Five by Five", which I was astounded nobody had taken. But I chose that before I'd seen Angel.

 

[Summers Blood]

I chose my name because it's my favourite part of Buffy when she tells Dawn that it's Summers Blood..... it's just like mine!

So when I joined and saw that a lot of my favourite names had gone, I decided Summers Blood was the one for me. I love it and I wouldn't choose anything else now 🙂 xx

Well Eleftheria is my true name. It means "freedom, liberty" in greek language...I couldn't think of anything and I saw that the names of the characters were taken so for the first time in my forum history I used my real name!

Anya being my favorite character and vengeance being one of her gigs, I also have been known to toast to vengeance.

I just changed my username from TheGrandmaster to MrOrange. Basically I was watching Reservoir Dogs. I thought it was a cool film, I though MrOrange was a cool guy with a cool name. So I decided to adopt it as my internet alias. Good times.

 

[November]

Changed it cos I was working one night handing out 'Quokkas' (a buy/sell newspaper thing) and I was being a bogan joking around, saying I was an ocker quokka, so I got home and changed it here cos I liked it. I use it on a couple other forums too now.

Oh and if you dont know what an actual Quokka is, its a like an over grown rat/mini wallaby thing thats native to an island off the coast called Rottnest Island (aka Rotto) that was named after the Quokkas by some French dude. Rottnest = Rats nest. They really are quite cute, but annoying at the same time cos they are so used to humans that they come inside the challays and cafes and try to steal your food. My stepsister lived there for a while and used to grab 'em by the tail and ditch them over the fence, it was quite funny when we were drunk, apparently it was the nicest way to move them. Much better than Quokka soccer anyway 🙁

Anyway, annoying little aussie thing fits me perfect!

When I first joined, I used to be called Shadowcay, but I can't actually remember why I chose it. >.<

Actually, they first appeared in 1999, so I was 6, not 3. Also, they were the first band I ever saw in concert, and that was around 2001/2002 when I was 8/9 years old. 🙂 Plus, I used to watch the show all the time and I absolutly loved the film😀
