Why Latin

I really didn't know where to put this question. It's a magick questions and since we don't have a magick thread i though why not under my favorite witches thread. Well anyway, why are almost all the spells in buffy latin?? Why not spanish, or french or something.

if im correct, most real spells are written in latin anyways. most witches were latin or something. i know i have a *few* spell books and most of the spells are written in latin. i should go ask jeeves 🙂 ill try to find out more about that for you, im curious about that even more now too hehe

Well lating is one of the oldest languages and it was one of the first to be written. Almost all texts, the classics, were originally written in latin and then translated over the years.

Latin is such a bitch to learn! My parents made me take three years of it!!! Ugh!!!! But, yeah, I agree that the basis is that Latin is the oldest language and is the root for most other languages. Besides, it sounds cool because it is so rare for someone to speak it!
