I really loved Doyle, but I think that his character would've slowly faded. What I mean is that many ideas for his character had been used in the few episodes he was in. I don't think the character had the capacity to stay for the full 5 seasons. On the other hand I would've liked him to stay a bit longer, maybe into the next season. This would create an even greater feeling of remorse at his death. I really did like him tho.

I loved Doyle because he was so falable... he was the epitome of humanity, he had his failings in plentitude, what with the drinking and gambling, running with the wrong crowd and his inability to accept who he really was, which resulted in the ending of a happy marriage... but he was also a force for good. The powers that be chose him for a reason. He was the only one who could really get through to Angel, and maybe that is because Doyle reminded Angel of the way he had been as Liam in his previous living incarnation. He also had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone (except pay back money owed to them of course 😉 ) He loved Cordelia, but it was never to be, but he dies a hero (I still cry at that episode every time I watch it), and while we only had him for a few episodes he certainly made his mark, whether we were willing him on with Cordy, laughing at his jokes, crying at his death or simply hoping that his brain wasn't going to get eaten with a shrimp fork.

Funnily enough, when my friends and I talk about what we think will happen in Angel in the future (God how I will miss that ::crying:: ) there is the 2 of us who keep saying things which involve Doyle coming back, but then we remember he can't because it wasn't just Doyle who died... We talked for about 2 minutes about a possible spinoff show with Doyle and what happened to make him be the one chosen by the powers, and then just stopped 'cos we remembered. I still find it hard to believe that Glen is gone...

But he is not forgotten.

Well first of all I loved his accent...hehe, I love any guy w/ an accent. But also he was funny, and he had a serious side also. He was loyal and he died to save his "people" which was very cool. I cried so much when he died though! 🙁

Doyle...and he is? * watches first half of Season 1 Angel DVD* Ah...yes Doyle, lmao I'm joking I know Doyle. I loved his character he was so adorable. The way he acted around Cordy, it made you wanna go aw...! lol He was just so sweet, I felt sorry for the poor guy, those visions looked like they really hurt. I would've liked to see more of him if he were still alive but I think that his character wouldn't really go anywhere and I liked the episode "City Of" Where Angel finds Doyle at his place and Doyle re-tells Angel's Life. 🙁 I miss the guy.

I think one of the endearing htings about Doyle was that he was a loveable looser. He never felt really comfortable around Cordy, and was so selfconscious. I think most viewers saw a little of themselves in him, and thats what made us love him.
