Why Ringer?

But I can't figure out...... The show looks amazing, and i cannot wait.

Why is the show named "Ringer." What does it mean??

It's about identical twin sisters, right, so when Bridget, goes to see her twin, Siobhan, Siobhan supposedly commits suicide therefore allowing Bridget to step into her sister's shoes. Basically, she's a dead ringer for Siobhan.

I was wondering that too! Although I guess it might make more sense if it had been called "Dead Ringer". But maybe there will be layers to the show's title.

Well in sports terms a ringer is an impostor or someone who's competing under false pretenses so to me the title makes sense as she's taking her sister's place. So yes she's a "dead ringer" appearance wise but basically what she is, is an impostor.
