Why should I get sorted?

Tell me the skinny about being a part of a dorm? What do y'all do there? Am I going to be spending even more time on BB than I already am (didn't think that was possible!) LOL?

You have nothing to lose by getting sorted. The dorms are a place to relax, have fun and get to know your dormmates better. It can be games, competitions or just babbling away. Since you only get access to one dorm I can't say much about the others but VH is going strong at the moment and is active and nice. Can't give you the specifics since the other dorm might copy our great ideas. 😉

If you don't like the dorm after checking it out you never have to return again. Your dormmates will probably be sad about but it's only for fun so no one is forced to do anything.

So win, win situation don't you think?

And yes, it can definitely mean that you spend more time on the boards. Some people actually post more in the dorm than on the boards.

Ok, more honesty. If you stay active long enough most dorms have up and downs. We're teasing a lot but we love the other dorms. The competition comments aren't serious. No matter what dorm you end up in I hope you'll enjoy it.

LOL All joking aside, being part of a dorm is a great way to bond with your fellow board members and feel part of something special. Before I was in VH, I was in Merrick and I can honestly say that (save for a couple small things) I have had a wonderful experience in both houses.
In all the dorms, we hold special events that only the housemates from the dorm can participate in, such as the Merrick Prom, house awards, and things like VH's current event, The Our Mrs. Reynolds Pageant. It's a lot of fun; I definitely encourage you to get sorted.

I think I'll continue the honesty thing. We need to show the others that we have downs too. When I got into VH it felt very dead. Katie, Crazy flakes, Aussie and occasionally Summers blood and Senior Watcher posted. Sorry if I forgot anyone. And the number of posts we now have per day could if we were lucky be reached in two weeks. So I'd call that a low. 😉 And we've had periods of a few weeks when I would be happy to see 3 posts a day that wasn't mine. That's VH low. Can't say anything about the other dorms.
