Apart from storyline purposes ,why was there only ever apocolypsies in Sunnydale.

Wouldn't it just be easier for all the big bads to try and destroy the world on another hellmouth like Cleveland where there isn't a slayer to stop them?

They must have heard about all the demons Buffy has stoped so why risk being killed when they can easily destroy the world somewhere else?

I know some demons are a bit thick but they can't be that thick can they?

😉 Maybe they have a death wish. 😉

Basically you're postulating, so I think it's OK to postulate possibilities to possibly explain your postulation.

First there are other battlers for the cause in the Buffyverse: Angel, The Watchers, The Guardian, The English Wiccan, The PTB and their confederates. There may be more. With the exception of Angel we don't know the full scope of their power, or their fight. Also it's not too much of a reach to imagine there may be more.

Secondly we don't know the specifics of Hellmouths. For example whatever the power draw is from the Sunnydale Hellmouth, it may be greater than the energy or attraction from the Cleveland Hellmouth.

I also thought that it had something to do with the fact that the Master had opened the Hellmouth in Sunnydale before. Thus making it more active than some of the others.

That sounded much better in my head ::change:: .

Apocolypses are always happening in Sunnydale because of the simple fact that the Hellmouth attracts demons. It draws them because of the evil.....

There was at least one other apocalypse in LA that we know of - rain of fire, sun blotted out etc...plus one just about to happen there...

Also - I think the power of the Hellmouth makes the demons more powerful (we've seen attempts to harnass the power of the Hellmouth by demons quite a few times).
