When I was in high school, one semester in my government class we had a student teacher. Having a student teacher is really weird when you are in high school, because they're not that much older than you usually. Well, anyways, she gave us this test one day. It was a normal government test, we were prepared for it. It was over the stuff from the last unit. There was 51 questions and the first 50 were about government, but the last one number 51, was simply this:

51. Why?

That was it. That was the whole question. The test had been fill-in-the-blank, listing, and essay, so there was space under it for us to write our answer. There were a bunch of differnt ones. Some of them were hilarious. So, I was just curious as to how the members of the BB would answer it. So, tell me. How do you answere the question:

Why?

why have i just wasted my time answering these stupid questions when i could have been at home watching a BTVS marathon? because i'm a good girl who does what my teacher tells me.
(which is probably why i'm such a rebel now!😉)

"The philosophical concept of causality or causation refers to the set of all particular "causal" or "cause-and-effect" relations. A neutral definition is notoriously hard to provide since every aspect of causation has received substantial debate. Most generally, causation is a relationship that holds between events, objects, variables, or states of affairs. It is usually presumed that the cause chronologically precedes the effect."

(lol yes, I got that straight from wikipedia😉)

Knowing me I'd probably answer with the above definition or a simple "what" with a doodle that looks somewhat like this--->???

Why did I just take this stupid test? Why is the earth round? Why do we try to get an education? Why are we here? Why do we put up with people making us feel inferior? Why in the world am I answering this dumb question?

That would probably have been my response. I would answer such a weird question with lots of other questions..

I had a teacher that did the same thing and they said the answer was "why not?" I also heard it somewhere too. But yeah, thought I'd share my knowledge. 🙂

Its a simple means of testing the person.
With most questions in a test there is a set of definate parameters in which to answer, thus a right and wrong answer.
But, simply asking Why, thats to test who you are.
Who ever reads these answers is probably looking for something special, someone special.
When i went to University i began a class, and the very first lesson was that simple Question, Why?
The lecturer wanted us to answer it however we liked, and said, as soon as it was answered we could leave.
Now, obviously there was a number that gave the comical....'Why not....' or 'Because....'
But the tutor told us the next time we went in, that it was a psycological test, a quick insight into where we were.
The simple answers, were most likely given by people with low confidence, low self-esteem, while people who took the time to see this as a question of being, were more confident in themselves, knew where they were going, what they wanted....

Ohh, and my answer was two pages long(ran out of time was only a 20 minute introductory class)

You overachiever you. :D
Because I was asked too. If I could I wouldn't have done that. It was an accident! The voices in my head told me to do that!!! o... sorry...

Why?

Hell, I ask myself that question, all the time.

When I delve deep into my memory I remember my 5th year English teacher asking this question. He had Why? written on his blackboard and asked us to answer as best we could.

We had a sheet of a4 paper to answer the question. My answer was a long tirade about people asking personal questions that they had no right to. Who the hell has the nerve to ask me why? Nosey wankers. This tirade was followed by a succinct, precise description on what I'd like to do to these people. After reading it my english teacher told me I was quite disturbed.
