Was Angel broadcast in Widescreen?? I bought used seasons and and they are regular full, but I could swear it was in Widescreen.

Also do you know if the box set will be WS if it was broadcast that way..

Thanks

The DVD's I've got are not of a boxed set. They give the viewing choice of normal or widescreen.

Reruns are full screen, aren't they. Yuck.

2 through 5 were originally broadcast widescreen, letterboxed (in the States anyway). I didn't even know any of the DVDs had full screen as an option.

Ah, OK, I get what you mean now. When you emailed me that question I thought you were talking about the Buffy boxset. As you saw, if you read my reply, Amazon.com does say that DVD set is available in widescreen.

If you check this one for Angel Season 5 you'll see the product details suggest it is also available in widescreen.

Amazon.com: Angel - Season Five (Slim Set): DVD: David Boreanaz

Format: Color, Dubbed, DVD-Video, Subtitled, Widescreen, NTSC

I believe what you're talking about however is the Angel - Complete Series Collector's Set available Oct. 30th, correct? This one.

Amazon.com: Angel - Complete Series Collector's Set: DVD: David Boreanaz

There is no mention of widescreen in those product details.

Format: Box set, Color, DVD-Video, NTSC

So there was mention of widescreen in the Buffy box set, and the Angel Season 5 DVD, but there wasn't in the product details of this Angel box set. I notice the DVD's for 3 through 5 mention widescreen, however 2 does not. I wonder if that means anything. For example if 2 is not available widescreen however 3 through 5 are would that prevent them from simply putting widescreen in the product details for the whole set. I guess you'll have to wait and see. Either that, or wait until it comes out, then ask your question, and hope somebody has it who can answer the question for all seasons.
