BEWARE there young November!
I heard that the slug at the end of the garden has found plenty of others slugs to go on the rampage with!!
Though I beg you to note that a rampage of slugs (Rampage being the correct terminology for a massed gathering of slugs in Sineya, not Black Thorn though),
also you might care to note that the rampage may take several weeks until they'll reach your house.

I'll not mention that if it was several weeks from this morning this week or last week!

As soon as it rains they will be here 🙁

You will, no doubt be able to hear the hundreds of them once little buggers singing as they jauntily slide over the slippy ground, "Sli-ding away, slip sli-ding away ay ayy." 🙂

Squirrels are everywhere but the population has declined since the coyotes moved in. Bunnies are quite often seen in our back garden. We do have a hawk that seems to keep some of the smaller rodents under control and its nest is in a tree we can see from our back yard. We used to have raccoons but they have moved on somewhere. We don't have any lizards but we are quite satisfied with what we have.

We never had rabbits widespread in my city that I recall, until about 10 years ago. Then they showed up in the nearby woods, and every year spread further until it's rare not to see one in the evenings. And thus, it is now not uncommon to see coyotes, which followed the rabbits. That's why people always keep their cats indoors here now.

I saw a raccoon tonight cross a busy street. I haven't seen one of them for years, but in my childhood they were common.

Our rabbits came from one source: a nearby road had three houses demolished to build bigger ones and the rabbits had been living in the old ruined houses. Once the new houses were built, we started seeing rabbits everywhere. In spite of the coyotes, the rabbit population seems to be stable. Maybe the coyotes are what has kept them in line and we would have had an Australia-style skyrocketing population.

Living in a city we don't have as much wildlife, but rabbits are common (and our Chihuahua is determined to catch one). We have the occasional possum and skunk, and there's a few packs of coyotes that roam.

A problem with damned bunnies moving into an area is when the rabbit tunnels are to close to the grounds surface - broken legs etc:

Well that was timely - I went out to shovel snow off the front porch and I saw a skunk wandering around on the ground in front of the porch. We have them and opossums in our inventory as well.

I have had some massive spiders over summer, got any of those?

I found the spider thats been running its web across the driveway, very pretty, very fat, its trap must work well! No idea what kind it is, but it tucks itself in to the bushes during the day, so is no problem.

There is also a HUGE spider near the fishpond, I thought it was a mouse the first time I saw it, until I saw the legs! Span bigger than my hand.

Once upon a time, I really wanted to visit Australia. Then I came to my senses! 😄

Perhaps not, but you DO have massive spiders and other horrid wildlife. There's absolutely no logical reason for spiders to be that huge.

I'm quite content looking at videos or pictures of Australia. 😄

Well it wasnt a spider that the poodle bit and got sent to the vet over. Because I saw that spider again tonight! So it must have been a bug or bee stuck in the web that made her face blow up like that.

I had a crow stuck in the fruit tree nets on the weekend. I call it a crow but I think it is different to your crows out in the rest of the world. It was eating my nashie pears. Some ringneck parrots, pink and grey galahs and magpies around today as well.
