Wiles: I Robot, You Jane Observation

A world of no! I could absolutely not see that happening.. It feels wrong on so many levels. Giles is the father figure, period. You don't develop a romantic relationship with your father figure. I did really want to see more of Giles and Joyce however.. I really thought something was there.

In any case I think it's a 'cute' crush Willow had on Giles but it could never be anything more than that.
 
When the series started and Buffy said she was new at the school, Willow said about the new librarian, that he used to be with a British museum, or the British museum.
So Willow had a kind of hero worship for him, that would be why she posed for a photo with him.
They were not standing very close to each other, Giles would not have allowed that. But about the picture, I wouldn't have put it past Willow to take two photos and make them look like one, of where she was standing next to some-one she knew, who worked at a British museum.

I agree about the hero worship but I don't see Wills Photoshopping the picture...
I've never really noticed any romantic feelings between Willow and Giles before. I think that would be a little creepy. I know Willow respects Giles greatly, and I think that there is a slight father/daughter relationship between the two of them, to a lesser degree of Buffy/Giles.

But whoever said that thing about Buffy/Giles, or BILES --- no, no, NO! Just ... wrong. I've never thought of them two together, but now I can't seem to think of anything else!

Ugh! Willow and Giles? No way. Maybe she just admired him, since they were both very geeky in S1? 😀
 
i dont think i could see any of them dating,

in season 5 buffy says "Were Family"

i have always seen it as:

Buffy- sister
Giles- the dad
Xander- brother
Willow-sister

and ive always think of dawn and buffy. mother/daughter (check out my thread in season 6 buffy and dawn)
 
The more I have thought about this, the more I've decided that it could have happened, but I'm glad it didn't. Although part of me has always wished they would have given Giles another serious love interest after Jenny was killed.

The father figure is what I see Giles as... and to suggest that he would risk his reputation at the school for dating one of the students is unlikely, in my opinion.


Willow's only loves are Oz and Tara. (I know I'm an Woz shipper, but I've accepted Tara because she makes Wil happy 🙂 )

Giles seems to go after women near his own age, anyways.

Giles: "I'm not supposed to have a private life?"
Buffy: "No, because you're very, very old and it's gross."

Well, I have a thing for the whole sexy schoolgirl scenario so I have to say that although initially, the scenario made my stomach turn a little but then I warmed up to it. 😛

In one of the college episodes thats name eludes me at the moment, Willow mentions having had a crush on Giles...go Willow!
 
I want to clarify that I never meant I thought about them being a couple in the HS years... In my thoughts, I imagined them as developing into a relationship after he mentored her in England between S6 and S7. 🙂 If they had ever tried to put them together anytime before then I would have been WAY freaked out. Fo sho, yo.

hmm not like a daugther maybe, but now I'm thinking about the time he had her in England. It felt pretty family-ish to me. Maybe an uncle thing or something lol!

About Giles and Willow being a couple, I never thought of them being together, I don't think it would have worked.
Willows sex life was perfect as far as I'm concerned, I think being with Giles would have been a little bit cougar to me lol.

I think that they have a lot in common, with the smarts and they both are into the wicca scene.
Them being in a sexual relationship would be just too weird.
A vampires age is different, because yes they may have been around for centuries.. but it's their human life that counts for age.
