Yeah, yeah, I know the accepted speil is "Lost is the brainchild and baby of Abrams and Lindelof"

We the fans of all things Whedon however no better.

We know the three best episodes this season were by Whedonverse writers. Walkabout and Numbers by David Fury. Outlaws by Drew Goddard.

We've noticed the Whedonesques touches of wit, background colour, and multi-sided character development.

We see Gavin back there pretending he doesn't speak English. 😉

And Fury doesn't just write he EPs.

This is David Fury's last year on Lost. We want to see him do well. After that it can go the way of Twin Peaks and Northern Exposure for all we care. 🙂

So this May 25th there's a big ratings showoff between the finales of Lost and American Idol. They meet on opposite networks in the same time slot to see which will draw the most viewers.

Who will win? Lost or Idol?

I think Lost is a far superior show, the only thing that I think would cause it to lose viewership for the Season Finale was the overly long hiatus they took between new episodes.

I was getting really fed up.

But then again, I'm the lone Lost fan at work and everyone else is American Idol crazy...

Personally, I think both shows are over-hyped and over-rated. I do think American Idol will win the ratings battle, however. It has much more allure than Lost, and appeals to a more mainstream audience.

I would much rather watch Grey's Anatomy....

Well, Idol is one of those shows where the finale means everything, and some people who haven't even seen the show before will watch the finale. All Lost fans will of course watch the Lost finale but I doubt that random people will be thinking oh, I've never watched this show but lest's how it ends!... But then again, I haven't seen much of any of those shows, so I wouldn't really know.

I personally think that American Idol will have more ratings, but just because it has been going on for so long! (I know, I know.. 4 seasons) I have just never really gotten into Lost, so I will probably be watching American Idol......

I think Lost will pull out front. But then again I was never apart of the American Idol fan base so I have no idea what the ratings are like.

Personally I really like both shows, but I'll be watching American Idol. Reason being that I will be able to watch all of Lost when it comes out on DVD. I also missed a few episodes of Lost and I wanna watch them in order. Therefore by my own reasoning I think American Idol will be ahead of Lost.

I definately think Idol... They've already broken ratings and viewers records this season, and to me, I think it's the most interresting one since the first... We're all crazy Canadian-American Idol fans here 😉
