Is there anyone here who thinks that Satsu WON'T figure in the story again later in the season?

Alternatively, do you think that she'll survive through the entire season?

Like the Terminator and Japanese bootlegs, she'll be back no matter how hard you try to eliminate them.

Probably in some self-sacrificing story similar to Doyle, all to save Buffy.

See, i can see Satsu returning to the picture, it would be so typical of Joss. Id actually love to
see her return as an enemy to buffy, in some way.

If we must see her again, I hope she makes a Riley-comeback, complete with a significant other and a perfect job. And a puppy.

And then Angelus with the puppy!

Don't you remember "The Wish"? Angel WAS the puppy.
I agree that if/when she comes back, it would be typical for Buffy to be in a relationship with someone else, or at least appear to be. I think that the odds are a billion to one against that new "someone" being female, but if it was, that would be a REAL shock for Satsu, as well as much more heart breaking.

i dont see why she wouldent show up at some point againb, she is only in japan and she still works for buffy. i can see her only showing up and cameos like on a viewing screen or something but i have no doubt that she will come back

I agree, as much as i'd love to see Satsu become a central character, I can't see it happening.
I think she'll show again. Maybe sometime around the ANGEL characters crossover, that would be quite hilarious.

Yeah, that was kinda what I was imagining. Angel, Spike, or both would show up, and right in the middle of their "saying hello with their tongues," Satsu would walk in. Or they walk in on Buffy and Satsu. Either way, it could be a hoot. Or a heart breaker, depending on how it was written.

I´ve a real hard time imagining her not coming back. I´m not sure in what way, but I defintely don´t think we´ve seen the last of her.

That´s a tougher question. At the moment I´ll say yes. She survives for now. But I don´t see her and Buffy getting back together so to speak, but some awkward moments sure. How long is a season anyway? 22, 50, 100 issues?

And Keans idea wasn´t bad. I´d like that.

Well, Angel belongs to the other company (ironic that they're still on different "networks," isn't it?), so he could only make a sort of guest appearance. Spike is sort of community property, though, I would imagine, so he could come back either in a permanent or recurring role. I think a really great arc would be him teaming up with Faith (whether anything romantic came of it or not), just because I've always felt that they would work well together, and just imagine Giles having to work with him again. Oh, the torture! It would be hilarious.

On the subject of a Spike/Faith romance, though, Spike pretty much awoke and unleashed the sheer passionate side of Buffy. It would be cool if he could awake and unleash romance in Faith. I think that that would make a really interesting story.

I'm fairly sure that while Angel the comic belongs to IDW, Angel the character is still usable for Dark Horse as he originated on Buffy. Same goes for Cordy, Spike, Wesley and Harmony. That's how the cross-over is possible at all.

Yeah, I guess that's what Joss meant when he said that they could use Angel or Spike if they wanted to, even if they are used sparingly. Maybe after Angel and co. get out of hell, they can all move over to Dark Horse for awhile.

Can't wait for Faith+Spike...xD
I think her pivotal role in the season is over, though I can't see her dying. I think if they had planned her death it would've happened in Renee's place. The death of two of the main character's lovers is a bit heavy, even for Joss.

I think we will see Sat again, I'd put money on her turning up during the final battle with Twilight.

Not in a saving the way kinda way, just being in the battle.

I'd like Buffy to not know that Sat is in the battle and during the fight have them punch the same baddie in the face and have a uncomfortable ex moment in the middle of a huge battle.

I hope Sat is in season 8, I really liked what I saw of her and think she'd be an ace long term character.

First off; I am not a 'shipper by any stretch of the imagination.
And I understand that these shows are indeed soap operas. There has never been a denial on that score from anyone involved in production. Since soap operas deal with complicated plots of who is sleeping with who and who is betraying who as their main dramatic draw, I try to push beyond that aspect for Buffy/Angel and concentrate on the supernatural aspects and storytelling.

All that said as preamble; I always had the mental image of Faith and Angel, mostly due to their basic natures/similarities in experiences and relationship between their names. I'm not sure if it was intentional on the writer's part or not. I am not pushing for such, just that it is the connection I made in my own mind. Similar yet different.

I think Faith sees
I so bet she will. And it's not bad enough that she was Buffy's best fighter, and now she's out of the picture, making Buffy & co. a little bit weaker. But isn't that what Twilight said he wants? To separate them from within, so he doesn't have as much work to do?

I know Joss knows we all expect Satsu to get maimed or seriously killed, simply because she slept with Buffy. But the Buffster's kind of one of those self-fulfilling prophecies: she says it happens, so she makes it happen. People might stick around more if she wasn't so convinced she wasn't worth the trouble.

Now what I'd love to see is Spike and Angel finding out about Satsu about the same time Faith does. Their expressions would be priceless. Especially Faith - I can practically hear the laugh, followed by the "Damn, B!"
