will spike be around till the end?

Well some fans like the charecter because of their hotness while I wish that isnt all they would base the charecter on. A Spike spin off would be to much like Angel.

Ofcourse Spike will be on the show to the end probably unless 2 things happen:

1. Joss feels like he cant take Spike anywhere else and does something with him.

2. James doesnt feel like doing the charecter anymore and wants to leave.
 
Spike - The one and only vampire with a soul heads off to Los Angeles to brood and solve a few supernatural crimes, leaving his one true love, Buffy the Vampire Slayer behind him. He begins a new life as a vampire detective, business is good and soon he's got his very own Cordy and has forgotten all about that one true love back in Sunnydale....oh wait! Damn. They already did that show, huh? --Emily 😛

Yes, I agree, a Spike Spinoff would be like AtS. Too much like AtS in fact, Spike is good as a secondary character only, in my opinion.
 
I think he could carry his own show. But they had Angel first so unless they did something to drastically change his character I don't think they would keep going in that direction.
