Will the follow the comics maybe?

I doubt it. The comics rewrote the rules of how the supernatural worked, and revealed the secret world to humanity at large. I don't think they are going to keep daylight vampires, so I would probably guess the comics are being ignored.
 
Not a chance. This will follow on from the shows. Comics will be completey ignored.
 
Now, if the show runs a while, the comics et al could fall into an "S-Canon," something Star Wars had, where story elements are used or reused in a way to bring them into cannon, while purging them of their worst elements. Star Trek also did that with the Animated Series. This is kind of the relationship the series had with the Origins comic, or Fray. But wholesale adoption from day one, not a chance.
 
The comics were declared canon because that was what everyone did to sell them and no doubt, there was a contractual commitment to state that they were canon. If Joss had said otherwise, no one would care about them.

It would be best if the new show had no connection with the comics at all.
