Will there be an After the Fall crossover?

Ok, something that I think needs to happen especially now network issues are no longer a problem. The mythology of both universes (which are pretty much separate now) needs to be connected in some way. A few questions need to be answered:

1) How do the Powers that Be factor into Buffy's battles? Howcome we never hear of them in the Buffyverse? Is it just because the Slayer is not technically an agent of the PTB being that she was created by the Shadowmen?
2) How do the two apocalypses that the world is gearing up for in both series connect? Wouldn't there be some sort of contest between Twilight and Wolfram & Hart? I guess Twilight's ultimate agenda isn't so much an 'apocalypse', but it would harm Wolfram & Hart in that banning magics and demons would send W&H from our realm.
3) Will Buffy ever reunite with Angel & Spike? Find out that Spike is alive?

It just seems strange to me that the series would be so separated now, when all network weight has been lifted. What do you guys think? Also, what would you like to see in a potential crossover event?

I've got a theory...

I can't tell you my theory right now because it relates to my theory for the "Who's the Big Bad?" house competition. Also, it's not very well-thought-out, so I'd be embarrassed to offer what scant "proof" I have at my disposal. Even so, I think we are heading toward a reconciliation of the two series. I think that we are going to find out that the time slips, Twilight, W&H, and both apocalypses are actually connected. I think Angel: After the Fall is taking place in an earlier timeline so that events that happen in that timeline can have an influence on the later Buffy: Season 8 timeline.

Just a (very cryptic) little theory of mine.

Joss has said on more than one occasion that, yes, there WILL be interaction between the characters of the two series, despite the fact that they are published by two different companies. Unless he has been lying, it would seem to me that a perfect time for that crossover would be between the end of the "After The Fall" series and the upcoming "Aftermath" series. If there is indeed any kind connection between Twilight and the senior partners or anyone else in either series, then that would be a perfect catalyst for the crossover in question.

One thing is certain: it is no accident that there are at least 4 Slayers in residence In Hell-A, and someone is bound to come and check up on them eventually. That someone might not be Buffy or any one of her crew. Maybe it will be Faith and Giles, thus avoiding the confrontation between Buffy and Spike that a lot of us hope for.
 
I'm so conflicted about this - one minute I think that I'd love for the two mythologies to sync up a bit more, the next I think I'd prefer for them to be separate. I think what's grating on me is the sense of finality in both 'apocalypses' and so there logically really needs to be some sort of explanation.

More than anything though, I'd really like to see character interactions. Some things I always thought would be interesting are like Buffy finding out about Angel and Cordy and about the fact that Angel had a son. It always felt strange to me that Angel had the opportunity to comment on Buffy's love choices (Riley, Spike), but she never had the same opportunity. Might like to see some more Angel and Faith and Faith and Wesley interaction. And so on and so forth.

Whatever the case, we need crossover action! Singular panels in dream sequences don't count!
 
Doesn't Spike have something that looks like the scythe is some sort of future-scape in Angel:After the Fall. I've heard people say that might be a clue to crossover.

Yeah, during one of Illyria's timeslips. I believe Brian Lynch has said it's not Buffy's scythe though, it's more homemade.
The Scythe thing is more like a nod to Buffy. A wink from the artist. It doesn't mean anything substantial.

As for a crossover. I'd love it if between season 8/9 and whatever are the then-current Angel series, they'd do a short mini-series co-published by IDW and Dark Horse to set everything straight between the two teams.
 
I believe it does. I would love for them to do a cross-over event but I doubt we will be getting one.
 
I think it'd be REALLY cool if there was a crossover type of thing, and ATF was from Angel's point of view, and S8 was from Buffy's point of view.

However, I have no idea what would happen in this crossover in question.
