To many of the folk from Star Trek, the technical advancements bureau, I'm sure they would appreciate the advancements in AI. As for our Buffy though .. ..

Aren’t conventions mainly a time for panels and actors/writers to be able to talk about their experiences creating/writing/being on set? And answer questions about it? I mean beyond meet and greets.

If it is all AI, there are no on set experiences like that, or writing processes of the individual, so I can’t imagine what the convention would be for? Unless audiences would come and talk to the AI, to get its opinion, which seems a bit scary to me to be honest.

Yeah, it was just okay but it would not be the first time where life imitates art.

This reminds me of "Feed" (written in 2002!) by MT Anderson. Where a chip was inserted into the brain of citizens, so they experienced the internet through their brain. They could do meetups, listen to music, etc. all from the confines of their brain. And the fact that it was written pre-smart devices is insane!

That's basically Vision Pro without the brain chip. I can certainly see some kind of sponsorship for Vision Pro for cons and stuff like that. So you can attend without attending.
