Will you continue watching?

So we're all crushed, more or less. Yet another Whedon cancellation by what is turning into the big bad wolf of network television. Anyhow, I'm not here to whine, but ask an actual question.

Will the cancellation change your watching of the remaining Dollhouse? Will it perhaps even stop you from watching alltogether? Or will things simply go on as they have and when they day comes and there are no more episodes, that's when things change?

Nothing serious, just curious as to how people deal with the cancellation.
 
Yeah I'll still watch, it doesn't make a difference really just that they won't have a season 3, i still like it, no one can put me off it just because it's not popular.

Of course, I'll watch. I think the cancellation even make you want to watch more. It's just sad to know that the end is coming and it's like counting down in each week. Now I don't want to see double episodes in each week. I want to see one per week and Dollhouse would stay with me longer. 🙁
 
Yeah, I've enjoyed the show so of course will I keep watching until the end.

Not sure why you wouldn't actually.

Well there are a number of reasons why one wouldn't want to continue. For one what we see will kinda be a botched operation, in the sense that they will never be able to tell the full or true story. It would kinda be like starting to read a book and half way in you realise the final 5 chapters aren't there, and they never will be.

Or there's the whole concept of even greater heartbreak once it finally ends. You've slowly warmed up to the show and it might be these final episodes that truly makes you burn with a passion for the show. Making the premature ending even more heartbreaking.

And those are only two reasons. But it's interesting to see that most, if not all will continue watching.
 
Definitely. I love the show, I'm not gonna stop watching just because it's ending. If anything, it'll make me watch it more; curious to know how Joss'll bring the show to a conclusion.
 
of course i will continue. and when its released, ill buy the 2nd season. i already have the 1st. but i hope joss has time to somewhat wrap it up since they are still filming.
 
I don't really see the reasons why I shouldn't watch it.

Your book metaphor kinda lacks, btw...We already know that we'll get a finale that's gonna tie up loose ends....so it's not like we won't have the last 5 chapters of a book, it's like we have a complete book, and, if you want to go along with this methaphor, now that we've read the book we know that there won't be a sequel. So, would that stop you from finishing the book?
 
Yep, I'l also continue to watch, most definitely. But not any more than I would have done had it not be cancelled. I love the show, I will buy the boxset and I will continue to rewatch it just like I do all shows that I love.

And as for the reasons why not, I do kind of see what you mean. The only reservation I have (and its not even one that will cause me not to watch) is that I fear it'll end up like Heroes season two with a really unsatisfying, crammed and rushed ending.
 
Sure, I'll watch the series through to the end. I don't think that I'll ever bother buying the DVD's, but the show is entertaining, with writing and acting of a quality well above its competition, despite what the network might claim.
 
I'll watch it all, then when it's available, I'll buy the season on DVD and watch the whole series several more times. I did the same thing with Buffy and Angel, and I see no reason to change that now.

Of course I'll still watch it! I want to see what happens to the characters! Miracle Laurie just said on her twitter that they were going out with a bang and Joss said they were going to wrap everything up.
 
It will actually probably make me start watching again, I had stopped because I wasn't hooked, now that I know it's ending I'll wait to have them all together and watch them in one go, it will fell like a movie like that, and I think it would work better that way, otherwise it's to slow week by week!

Yeah, he came out with only 4 toes poor fella. But the gist of it was that this will not be the story that could have been. Writing is always a flexible sport, but I can't really see Whedon only plot one season ahead. I think he must have had a grander plan as to where he wanted to go, and a rough outline of how he wanted to get there. This will change those plans on which the previous episodes were built. And that's the reason why I have slight doubts. I probably won't be able to stay away, but still got doubts.

I'm actually considering doing that as well. I'm always so much better at hyperfocusing anyhow. This week to week thing can be so hard 😀
 
Of course I'll still watch it. Might enjoy it as long as we can, aye?
