Willoooow

no chemistry

oh and the self-validation thing is mostly focused around how willow would always rag on oz when he did something that wasn't considered 'cool' and how she started putting herself into this role that she believed made her cooler by association to her 'cool', genius IQ musician of a boyfriend, when he left she was lost, and not just cuz she missed him, but because she wasn't the 'cool' musician's girlfriend anymore

I think I saw something of this in Season 4, when they were at UC Sunnydale, but not before. It makes sense; even though Willow seemed really into higher education, it's a big identity shakeup when you leave home for college.

well obviously it was in season 4 considering i mentioned that she was showing severe signs of this when he left, but you could see it before, when he didn't graduate and got left back at the beginning of season 3 and in season 2 she was still insecure about thier relationship so it would make sense to keep her commentary to herself

I don't think her comment about him not graduating was about him not keeping up his persona of 'cool', I think it was because ...well, he's smart, and so him not graduating was a bit weird...not socially acceptable, I guess.

I know people see relationships differently, and some people might brush Willow and Oz as insigificant to Willow, since she turned out to be gay, but for me (and others) they were a good, sweet, couple, and Oz was a wonderful boyfriend to Willow.

i never said oz was insignificant, i think he was very significant in willow's social development, i just think that she wasn't comfortable with him at the beginning and dated him for the wrong reasons that lasted until the end of season 3

BTW, socially unacceptable could also be defined as uncool especially if it's in reference to willow's POV
