I have a Question for something I have been thinking about recently. If you have ever seen the script for "Chosen" and you've read the bit after Willow activates all the Slayers You will See:

INT. SUNNYDALE HIGH-PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE-DAY

Kennedy grins, relishing the feel of the power surging through her body.
Then she looks up at Willow and her smile fades, replaced with a look of concern

Kennedy:
Willow?

An aura of pure white light surrounds Willow. Her hair has gone completely white, an expression of pure rapture on her face. Willow is transcendent, forever altered. Cleansed, forgiven...purified.
Then the spell ends, the light fades and Willow slumps forward panting her hair back to its normal red.

So the bit I find interesting is the "forever altered" What do u think it means?
She does say at the end of the episode that she can feel the Slayers waking up all over the world. In my opinion it means that she is connected to the Slayers, she can feel them, sense them?

My initial thought would just be that she's finally overcome her struggle with dark magic and had reached a new level of power.

But I love your idea that she's connected to the Slayers. It would help a lot for gathering together all the slayers around the world. In Angel season 5 I'm sure there's a hint that Willow is searching the world for Slayers. I wonder what else the connection could entail...you've got me thinking now :winking15

Well She was already connected to everything (perhaps my wiccaness is coming through) as we are all connected and that's a deeply held belief. Shes proven in the past to feel connected to others end of season 6, start of season 7.

I too personally think he is connected to all the slayers, as in a weird way they are her creation, however this connection will be very useful for finding slayers but also potentially porblematic afterall if shes connected to them how is she going to feel when one dies, if sh can feel their pain too then she will experience death over and over without actually dying

Yea I was also thinking that, if she is able to feel them waking up, would she be able to feel them die as well.

It's a nice theory you have their, but I'm going to have to stay with her definitively overcoming the Dark Side of magic.

I do think there is a strong possibility that we may discover she has a personal connection to the slayers now, but i doubt that is what the "forever altered" comment was referring too.

I think that it was more of a psychological alteration. She now understands her true connection to the earth and the magicks it holds, not to mention that she can know trust herself to contain and manipulate large amounts of magical energy without going all crazy "i wanna destroy the world" witch lady! 😀

Forever altered probably refers to the fact that she has used her powers to tip the scales to the side of good... forever. While during her early magic years, she was doing harmless and helpful spells, she never really used her magic for extreme good. After having a brush with black magic, she was now back on track and using it to alter the world on the side of good.

Well as I always thought of it, the little evil stunt made her far more powerful because of the book sucking and that power will never leave her. With the scyth it was the same thing, but with white magic. Just something thats gonna alter her forever.

Wow BEG, you really made me think. Iirc, when she says she can feel the Slayers, she says it in kind of a wide-eyed way....like it's wondrous. That leads me to believe that she is connected to them in some way, that she can actually feel their power, or maybe their life force or something of that nature. I'd have to see definitive proof that she can feel it when they die, tho....that's kinda delving in to Star Wars territory, LOL!

Interesting thought, tho......very interesting!

I agree it's a good question. I always saw Willow's spell at the end of that episode an awakening of something inside of her. She lost control in Season 6 and the evil took over, then all during season 7 she was afraid to let go and lose herself, with Kennedy and with magic because she worried what she would do under that loss of control. This time the lost of control proved a good thing and now Willow is enlightened and assured that she genuinely a force of good and will not revert to her old and evil self.
