In the realm of the original cast members being placed in the new reboot...err.....continuation, I was thinking about when Willow took over Jenny Calendar's class as a sub, What if Willow ended up becoming a school teacher....hmm.....high school teacher? That would definitely be a good way to tie into the new casts school life and a way to bring back the library bit into the series.

yeah this!
Why does she look like she has ill intent on her mind? Or is it just me that see's that? ❓

Yes, a a computer class would be a perfect subject for Willow to teach! That or Acient History maybe!

I've headcanoned Willow as an education major since they had her teaching Jenny's class. Willow is so set up to follow in Jenny's footsteps. She's good with computers, likes magic, and likes to teach. Season three had that subplot of her tutoring one of the jocks, which just cemented in my mind that they were trying to foreshadow her going into teaching, but then they never actually confirmed what her major was, and then seasons six and seven basically drop any college related plotlines entirely.

In the world where season seven is good, I think Willow is a student teacher at Sunnydale High; it would be her senior year of college, unless the events of season six put her behind (very likely, but let's pretend it doesn't since the writers clearly don't actually care about those kinds of consequences), and that's usually when education majors have to do student teaching. This puts her and Buffy in mentorship roles at the high school while Dawn was a student there, and Xander was doing construction work on campus. All of the Scoobies except Anya would be back at the school, and I think returning to the theme of "high school is hell" should have been the necessary follow-up to the melodrama of season six. Taking the plots back to basics while the Scoobies have a more mature perspective on things.

I always thought her major would be science or information technology.
Going with my usual caveat that dead people should stay dead, but I am willing to entertain the idea if you have a good story to tell with them.

However, Willow is supposed to be more intelligent than 99% of all humans who have ever lived. Cracking magic, that is to say, forcing the Great Old Ones to give up their secrets and stealing fire from Olympus might be one of pivotal moments in human history,

And you want her to teach public highschool computer science?

I get it, Topanga went from Law School in Boston to managing a coffee shop while no doubt having dreams of Maya predicting her death in an unknown language. And frankly, it's life. So I don't mind it, any more than I find Giles working at all. I just thought it was funny to note.

I agree Willow has a lot more potential.

Okay, I'm lost here, who is this Topanga person? The only Topanga I know of is from the "Boy Meets World" sitcom!

that's her. Disney did a spinoff/sequel in the 10s called Girl Meets World about Cory and Topanga's daughter

Well I kind of figured that had to be the show as I've never heard the name Topanga used anywhere else.
I love the idea of Willow being a teacher at the high school! I also thought it would be apt for her to be the librarian, but Willow's strengths play more to being computer teacher. Plus, her witch skills would make her the wrong one for a student to cross. I had a biology teacher who would throw a formaldehyded frog at students talking in class. I'd love to see what Willow's punishment would be!

That's funny! I had a gym teacher in jr. high that would all of sudden ask the kid closest to him for his shoe and he would launch it across the gym at people of insterest. He was a dead-eye shot too.
