I personally think that she was better as a powerful witch, but as I read in another thread, she was getting too interesting I guess.
 
Well out of the two I would say power ful witch but I prefer her at the start of season 5 like when she done the fire spell on the barbecue
 
Shy school girl willow was my favorite version of the character! In fact, Willow was my favorite character until she became obsessed with magic. ::dead::
 
Contemplating imagery, after image, after quote (after bobbing head movement, heh) in my head, i've come to the conclusion that there's nothing wrong with her as a powerful witch (she's still just as lovely), i just have a better frame of mind when i remember her from the good old days you know? When it was sorta much more exciting to see what happened next. I maybe speaking out of speculation towards Season 6 (don't get me wrong, i still love Buffy TVS), i just kind of liked it more when the cult television show was coming of age.

As for what that has to do with Willow, i think her character has definitely developed nicely and the magical Wicca powers/relationship with Tara aspects are predominantly still two of the main reasons to why i love the show. It's just like i said, i liked the show better before ( pref. <--s4) and as Willow has *always* been my favourite character (thus being the person i watch the show in most respects towards), i thought the shy, paranoid and let's not forget the dating Oz!!! Willow was better. Not by far... but better. 🙂
 
Definately Powerful Witch!! Now with her addiction to magick she'll have more obsticles to ovecome. But, tht is where her power lies, in Magick. If she is FORCED to give it up, it will make a comeback sooner or later and the consequences could be disasterous!!
 
I prefer the powerful witch! I think that she wasn't really happy as a shy school girl!
 
I prefer Willow as a powerful witch. It would seem silly to stay a shy schoolgirl as you get older.
 
Willow was cute back when she was shy and vulnerable. Now, she's just cooler, tougher, smarter, and ....uhh.....still cute.
 
I like her hair style. Season 6 and season 3 are the best hairstyles. Have you noticed that the more powerful she gets the better her hair gets.
 
I like willow better as a powerful witch - she just has that "don't mess with me or you'll pay" attitude and that's just so fun to watch!
 
I'd have to say that I prefer the shy Willow to the powerful one. Not by a whole lot but she was in a way more interesting back then. Like said before you didn't really know what to expect from the shy Willow plus the show was all together better back then. I've grown to like Willow more as of late but then I don't really like her for her magic but for her personality. Back when she was super shy you'd get kind of a shock whenever she did something to stand up for herself against Cordelia or anything really. So I think that added alittle to her character in my opinion. But I pretty much like Willow at any stage in the show.
 
Prefer her as a powerful witch, although
I'm not liking her attitude towards magic this season, she is abusing her powers left, right and centre. She is just taking it all for granted and has become addicted to using magic. You have to ask yourself, where this will take our Willow?
 
i chose powerful witch. i think willow is extremely gifted and great at magick. the only problem is she tends to mess up. its great to see how her magick develops over time and how she works with it. she gets into trouble doing spells sometimes and its good to see her come back from it and try to fix it.

It wouldn't really matter (IMO) what they did with the character, because Alyson is such a talented actress, but it's definitely more fun to watch Willow as she has matured.
 
Boy, do I feel outnumbered. I picked "Shy School Girl". I don't know... I just liked Willow back in the earlier season. Ahh, the good ol' days.
