Willow Goddess of Magic
Waltz
Nichlous Woodward 10/31/12 4:38: AM

Dark Willow strode through the door of her house in its spot just out of space-time
Dark Willow: I should have expected that.
Tara walks from behind the kitchens bar area eating a bagel with cream cheese on it she sets the saucer and bagel down on the bar wiping a crumb off her lip.
Tara: What?
Dark Willow: Me and how stubborn I can be. I went to visit myself and she told me to butt out of her life.
Tara: laughs. And you don’t remember that conversation with yourself?
Dark Willow: Giggles. Ok it’s been awhile but I just forgot how strong willed I can be sometimes.
Dark Willow crosses the room and splits the bagel down the middle and eats part of it herself Dark Willow pulls a lose strand of black hair out of her face.
Dark Willow: It’s just important that I give myself the proper nudge. Oh I owe you an apology.
Tara: You don’t owe me anything.
Dark Willow: Yes I do I almost took for granted what I have. What’s here when I come and go…You. I left without saying anything to you and it was wrong I hope to never do it again.
Tara walks over to Willow and hugs her but Dark Willows bellowing dress gets in the way.
Tara: Ok I give up my curiosity is too much why is it you always leave wearing that same dress why the Dark Willow look?
Dark Willow: It’s all about time. When people start collecting notes on me and they start cross reference me any description they have of me will be the same 50 years down the road to a hundred years in the past. They will see this.
Tara: It will look as though you’re everywhere at once. That’s clever. But can I have my Willow back here at the house.
Dark Willow: Some times there’s a reason I look this way. The darkness is a driving force and just occurs. But yes I don’t have look this way here. And you always have your Willow. With that Willow stands and lets the darkness slide off her the dress melts away into a simple rose colored long skirt with a long split up one leg and a strapless blue top her complexion and hair return there vibrant colors
Tara: You vixen you. I remember that ensemble.
Willow: Pulls Tara close her hands slide to Tara hips. I was hoping you would. Willow changes what Tara is wearing as well. The outfits burned into their memories flood outwards and they slowly dance around the house as the familiar music fills the room.
Tara: Our first date.
Willow: Our first date.

Buffy: Willow that’s fantastic your first date!
Willow: Yeah not stressed out enough here.
Buffy: Relax Will it will be awesome I just know it.
Willow: I’m so nervous I mean Buffy you know we already know what we feel towards each other but asking her like that it was...all the butterflies and the…it was you know
Buffy: Magic like you had never asked anyone out before. Like it was all new again.
Willow: Yeah and hey in a way it is cos you know girl. Oh Buffy what do I wear? It’s so different. Willow walks to the closet and starts looking at different things.
Buffy: This is so awesome Will.
Willow: Looks over at Buffy. Ok you’re having way too much fun at my expense here. Could you help me please? This is serious.
Buffy: Buffy raises her hand to try to hide her laughter. But stiffens up. Your right Will total seriousness going on right here. Slayer skill needed here big time.
Willow: Oh ha ha. You know I could pick on you about a Mister Riley.
Buffy: Oh no todays all about Willow. So what’s the big plan for the evening?
Willow: Well there’s this film we want to see and then I thought we can grab some drinks at the Bronze.
Buffy: Ohhh dancing at the Bronze.
Willow: There’s dancing? No one told me there would be dancing.
Buffy: Yes dancing
Willow: Buffy I’m not too good with the dancing I’m like a flopping fish.
Buffy: Thanks for the imagery. It’s alright just take it slow and be yourself now come on let’s find you something to wear.

After much trial and error Buffy convinces Willow of the perfect outfit.
Willow: Are you sure about this? I feel kinda exposed.
Buffy: That’s what the jackets for trust me Will. You’re a knock out
Willow: Oh oh wait what time is it?
Buffy: Five thirty. What times the movie?
Willow: Seven.
Buffy: Good plenty of time nothing to worry about.
Willow: Oh see now you jinxed it.
Buffy: I did not its perfectly good expression.
Willow: Yeah for disaster.
Buffy: No way what could possible go… and Willow runs over and clamps her hand around Buffy’s mouth before the last bit of the curse is spoken.
Then the phone rings
Willow gives Buffy a look as Buffy runs to answer the phone
Buffy: Hello? Willow runs over to hear in on the conversation… Giles slow down…you’re kidding me…well don’t need Willow do we?...We do?
Willow slumps her shoulders.
Buffy: Hangs up the phone. Look Will I will see if we can’t do this without you.
Willow: No Buffy I make my choice I signed on to help save people and the world remember. Come on lets go see what the latest crisis is the head out the door and it closes but Willow runs back in a grabs her denim jacket.

At Giles place. Giles is pacing back and forth

Buffy: Giles you’re kidding me
Giles: I am not this is most serious I assure you. There’s no telling what kind of chaos that creature can make.
Buffy: A dancing demon?
Willow: What it going to do gather a troupe of vampires and put on a demonic version of The Nutcracker?
Giles: Very much so and in doing so will cause the very ground to shake leveling entire city blocks.
Buffy: Ok so lord of the flies is a little nastier. But why do we need Willow I go and find and kill the thing and Sunnydale quakes a lot less.
Giles: Because someone summoned the beast and the only known way to stop its dance of death is to unsummon it that’s where Willow comes in. It’s quite simple really this is the spell that’s needed the only hard part is that you have to be close to the creature to send it back
Willow: Takes the book Giles hands her and she studies it. The incantations easy enough... But whoa hey HEY!
Buffy: What is it Will?
Willow: There’s a dance involved in it I I can’t dance remember Giles you’re going to have to do it.
Giles: Sorry look at it again it has to be a woman. That preforms the dance.
Willow: Oh well that that’s just Wiccan sexism.
Buffy: Remember Willow this is what your signed on for remember?
Willow: Oh sure throw that back in my face. You’re enjoying this a little too much. You have the easy part all you have to do is keep it detracted.
Buffy: We better getting going Will If we want to try to stop this thing before your date. Read on the run.
Willow: Looks up from the book oh yeah sure.
Both girls head out.
Willow: Buffy how are we going to track this thing?
Buffy: Simple feel for the ground to shake.

Willow: Argh Buffy we are getting nowhere. What time is it?
Buffy: A little after six now.
Willow: Ok I got to call Tara and let her know I won’t be able to make it tonight.
Buffy: No! I know how important this was to you Will. Just tell her you’re going to be late that you will have to skip the movie and just go for drinks don’t cancel it completely.
Willow: Ok your house is up head let me use your phone.
Buffy and Willow head inside the Summers house.
Buffy: Moms not home some kind of gallery opening somewhere else.

Willow heads to the phone and Buffy heads to the kitchen and hits the fridge for some water.
Buffy: Oh score! Buffy takes a brownie from a plate and gets one bite when she feels the floor shake.
Willow: Comes to the kitchen. Tara was cool with just meeting up with her at the Bronze. Buffy what’s wrong?
Buffy: It’s close by can’t you feel it? Buffy drops to the ground and feels the floor with her hands.
Willow: Whispers? How close?
Buffy: You don’t have to whisper. It’s still too far away to tell come on! Buffy grabs Willows hand and the girls run out and around the backyard out the side gate.
They get down the block the vibrations get stronger
Willow: Ok feeling that.
Buffy looks over a fence
Buffy: Bingo! Buffy looks back at Willow. Are you ready?
Willow: I have the incantation ready. But Buffy the dancing?
Buffy: Relax you can do this Will. But Buffy does not give Willow a chance to argue with her she hops the fence and engages the demon in combat
Willow watches for a few seconds then hops the fence herself

Willow: Chants Hear me oh great ones let your creature come back for where it came take it back to the land born onto it I offer up to you my movements in return.
Willow starts to sway like some of the diagrams in the book but there all clumsy and halfhearted at best.

The demon looks over at Willow

Demon: Whoa whoa whoa hold on here super blonde your friends not doing too well.
Buffy: Stops the fight and looks over at Willow whose dance is all over the place. Yikes that’s bad huh?
Demon: She’s got no rhythm. The demon yells out. Put your hips into it!
Buffy: Looks over at Willow. Give me a second will you. Buffy walks over to Willow.
Willow: This is embarrassing it’s not working Buffy.
Buffy: I know Will. Relax. Here follow my lead with that Buffy grabs Willow by the hips and begins to sway
Willow: Whoa hey hands.
Buffy: Looks Willow in the eyes. Don’t worry about the hands feel the movement hear the music in your mind. Let it work away around you let it flow.

Willow: Closes her eyes. And begins to move Buffy steeps back and Willow dance takes a life of its own her motions smooth out her hands flow across the air her legs glide across the ground her body sways to music unseen and in one turn of her hips a portal opens.

Buffy turns to the Demon.
Demon: Yeah yeah I’m leaving. She’s not bad you know. The Demon walks though the portal and with a snap it shuts close
When it closed the force knock Willow to the ground ending the dance.
Willow: Oh hey it worked!
Buffy: Looks around. Yep. Then helps Willow up. Oh but we have a casualty I’m sorry to inform you your jacket dint make it.
Willow: Pulls of the jacket off and looks at the rip in it. You know what I don’t need it. And she tosses it to Buffy.
Buffy: Well look at you Will. Me ow.
Willow: Now if you will excuse me I have a date.

At the Bronze Willow looks around for Tara but can’t seem to find her outside she walks into the club and finds her siting on the couch along the wall

Willow: Hey Tara sorry about the movie.
Tara: look up at Willow. Oh d.don’t be we can catch it another time.
Willow: Oh good I was worried you know that I had ruined our plans.
Tara: You didn’t ruin them you had to help Buffy.
Willow sits down close to Tara.
Willow: That’s something else we need to talk about.
Tara: Places her finger over Willows lip. Tonight is about us. You look amazing by the way.
Willow: looks down at the strapless blue top and long skirt with a spilt up the side and looks over and the tan and blue shirt with a deep plunge where willow can’t help but to notice certain aspects of Tara’s physique. You look beautiful yourself.
Tara takes hold of Willows hand and they talk for hours. Then a song comes on that sparks Tara’s interest.
Tara: Would you like to dance?
Willow: Looks over at the dance for then back at Tara. With you I would love to.

Tara leads Willow out the floor in the middle of the crowd she places one hand on Willow hip and the other on her shoulder. But that’s not enough for Willow and she moves closer to Tara. There body’s touching as they move about the floor everyone else melts away and its just them and the music. They move about the room and soon Tara reaches in and they begin to kiss.

Buffy watches the two from afar she just about ready to leave when she spots someone in else in the spy game.
Buffy: Xander Harris!
Xander: Oh hey Buffy what are you doing here?
Buffy: My job how about you?
Xander: I uh well.
Buffy: Spying on Willow.
Xander: I just wanted to make sure she dint get hurt.
Buffy: Looks over at the two on the dance floor. I don’t think that’s going to be an issue.
Xander: At least let me say hi to them.
Buffy: Nope we are leaving.
Xander: Just one drink I wanna know her better.
Buffy: Willow will bring her around when they are ready to come on. We go patrol. With that Buffy grabs Xander by the ear and drags him away from the club.
Xander: Ow Ow…

Above all the crowd on the catwalk two girls watch. Xander being hauled away by Buffy before he made a fool of himself. Both girls are dressed the same way Willow and Tara are.

Tara: They are good friends aren’t they?
Willow: Looks over the railing at Xander being dragged away. Yes they are. She turns the other way and Watches as Tara just finishes the kiss
Tara turns to the other side and slips her hand into Willows she pulls her around and into her own deep kiss.
Tara: You remember what happens next? As she points. As they both watch as other two girls leave hand in hand.
Willow: I believe I remember. The Bronze fades away and again they are back inside Willows home outside timespace.

Willow walks Tara to the bedroom
Willow: Again I’m so sorry for the way I left the last time.
Tara: Again I forgive you I always will. Will you dance with me?
Willow: Always.
Willow magically shuts the door.
