We all know that Tara was part of the reason Oz and Willow never got back together, which is one of the reasons I'm not a big Tara fan. (not that I hated her)

I was just wondering which you guys would rather see more of
Willow/Oz or Willow/Tara
and why?

I already made it clear that I like Willow and Oz better because Oz broke Willow out of her little shell and their relationship was so much like my first relationship with my first boyfriend (except he wasn't a wolfer)

So, what's your opinions?

I've said this many times and I'm saying it yet again; no one affected Willow like Tara did. Willow didn't become a mighty morphin power witch untill she met Tara, her humongous love for Tara did unfortunately also bring out the worst of her powers, or rather the worst of her use of her powers. Sure, Oz was nevertheless very important for Willow as a person but also as a character, Oz did take her out of her shell but not nearly as much as Tara did. Oz couldn't have been a better first boyfriend, but there's no doubt that Tara was/is the one for Willow, the love of her live if you wanna call it that. Just like Angel/Buffy, even though they can't be together, obviously Willow and Tara can't be together because duuh Tara's dead (OMG! did I just write that? I must have passed the denyal phase...) but unlike Angel left Buffy and Oz left Willow, it wasn't Tara's choice to leave Willow for ever.

You can't blame Tara for Oz and Willow not being together. Oz was very much responsible for 1) cheating on Willow 2) leaving Willow. That Willow chose Tara when Oz came back wasn't Tara's fault either, that was Willow's desicion. It's not like you can blame Riley for Angel and Buffy not being together in season 4, right?

I, like Fran, very much prefer Willow with Tara. I'm glad she met Oz, their relationship was very very important for Willow's developement as a character, and without Oz Willow would probably never have met Tara (well, at least I believe so)... But yeah, the Tara/Willow relationship was great.. They're sweet together and really good for eachother.. I can't really see anything not good about them. Well, I am not one of those who try to deny that Tara died.. And I'll never hate Joss for killing Tara.. I understand why she "needed" to be killed. It's extremely uncommon for Joss to let a couple be as happy as they were for that long, so I sort of knew she had to leave the show, 'cause there was just no way she could leave Willow forever and not be dead.. Uh, sounds horrible but to me that would have been even sadder, if they'd ruined her character like that, letting her leave Willow... Then I'd actually rather want her.. um.. not alive.. (God can't believe I'm saying these things but.. yea..)

I think I'm revealing where my loyalties lie on this one when I say: I'm completely freaked out by the idea of Oz and Willow doing the naughty. What I mean by that is this: They seemed to have a different kind of relationship, one that wasn't sensual in nature. Not that they were brother/sisterly or anything. They just didn't have the same chemistry that Willow and Tara did.

It's just that...well, Willow/Tara has always been a very physical relationship, and even before they were together they were very sensual with each other...the Katra spell from Who Are You? remains the steamiest scene EVER on Buffy IMO. That's one of the things that I loved about the Willow/Tara relationship. Not only were they insufferably cute (which they were, so were Oz and Willow), very well-suited (so were Oz and Willow) and very REAL (in that they fought sometimes and disagreed-so did Oz and Willow) they were immensely sexy as well...to each other I mean. Obviously. I just never got the same kind of vibe from oz/Willow

Now, that's not the only reason I favor Tara over Oz as far as a relationship with Willow goes. She was also more communicative, she needed Willow more (and Willow needed her as well) not to mention that Willow's gay. That won't stay hidden forever! It's part of who she is, soooo....

In conclusion...Tillow rocks!! 😀

Yea... I'm not gonna get too far into this... I'm DEFINATELY a Willow/Tara fan (Umm... Duh?)... And I take this topic way too personally... So, I'm gonna leave it at that... If Oz was supposed to be with Willow, she would have chosen him and not Tara... The End!

(I am so one of those in denile... I still cannot watch her die... Never...)

I have a confession to make, when Tara first showed up, I saw the relationship through heterosexual blinders. I thought it was great Willow had found this great friend, but I wanted her to meet a nice guy. *hides*

That said, I adore the Willow/Tara relationship. Once I removed my head from another part of my body, I thought it was one of the better 'ships on the show. Willow and Oz were cute, but Willow and Tara were sexy.

It's always been Willow and Tara for me. A small part of that is because I've never liked Oz too much. But I love the relationship W/T have because it's so loving and subtle. It's the opposite of Bangel (in terms of subtleness), but I love both!

I liked Willow with both Tara and Oz. The relationships were important to her in two diffrent ways. They changed her and if she hadn't met one of them she would be a totally diffrent person. Not as stronge, I think.
With Oz she opened up and became much more confident. She learned to like herself and be proud of who she was. I think that had something to do with her meeting Tara. She wasn't afraid of new changes cuz she knew who she was.
With Tara she became even more sure of herself and stronge. I think Tara was her true love and not Oz. She didn't love Oz(eventhough Oz is totally cool 😀 ) as much as Tara. With Tara she she explored all new sides of her and became an even more awsome person. 😀 Tara made Willow to the cool person she is.

I like both relationships, but in the end its Tara and Willow, like other people noone affected Willow as much as Tara did..

Well... At first, before I even knew what was going to happen in season 4, I thought Willow and Oz were soulmates! Willow's life, as was already said, would have been totally different had it not been for Oz!

But in the end, my pick would have to be Tara. The W/T ship is just amazing and it's one of the best on the show! I think of Oz like Willow's puppy love.... We all one of those in our lifetime! But Tara was Willow's soulmate. And curse Kennedy, I just can't stand her!

Thats a tough one. Oz being my favourite character, Im kinda biased though.

I was really upset that Oz left but I dont believe it was because of Tara. By the time he came back, Willow had learned to move on. It was extremely hard for her but she did it. Even if she hadn't fallen in love with Tara, I dont think she would have gotten back with Oz. It hurt her too much to lose him once. And the fact that she made him turn into a wolf when even the moon couldnt, it wouldnt have worked.

It didnt take me as long as I though to love Tara. Willow and Tara were great together, but I think the relationship was bad for Willow. When Oz slept with Veruca, Willow tried to do black magic even back then. But then she was introduced to more powerful magic and Willow has a tendancy not to be able to deal with things, so anything that goes wrong in their relationship, she handles badly.

So ultimately, I have to go with Willow and Oz. Purely for the fact that I love them together. They were just so great together. It everything I want in a relationship.

I personally like Willow and Tara togther, they just seemed so right for each other, and I think that Tara will always be Willow's true love. : superhap And, I think that I will just leave it at that!!

I think that both relationships have great moments. On one hand, Oz and Willow were very sweet and obviously Oz was nuts about her. On the other hand, there was so much chemistry between Tara and Willow, that it made your heart melt.

They are both beautiful relationships, but I think because Tara was so pure, the Tara/Willow relationship just really wins in this category.

I just absolutely LOVE Willow and Tara together!! They were just so perfect together, and I think that they will always be soulmates!! But, I do think that Willow grew from her relationship with Oz, and I think that they loved each other very much, but they weren't soulmates, but that still doesn't mean that her relationship with Tara was filled with more love then her relationship with Oz, her and Tara were just meant to be together forever..... :love14:

For me it's Willow/Tara. I liked Willow/Oz too, they where cute and I think Willow really grew in that relationship, but I don't see it going on any longer than it did. Willow and Tara was so beautiful and sweet together. What I remember as one the best things from that relationship is that it they felt so safe together.
Hey, Will, this is me. It doesn't all have to be "good" and "fine." This is the room where you don't have to be brave. I still love you. If you're worried you can be worried.
I just love this line.. it's very much of what I search for in a relationship.

I love that too, that's so what I want and need right now..
Even though I loved both of the relationships, it most definatley has to be Willow/Tara. I don't know what it was about their relationship, but it just seemed to be so much more special. Also, I loved the way that Joss didn't include a lesbian relationship just so you could see some 'hot lesbian sex'. It was special and spiritual, and so well portrayed. Willow/Tara all the way.

I also love the Willow/Tara relationship. It was more than just girl on girl action, it was a deep and beautiful journey between two people who were lucky enough to be soulmates. I always loved the relationship between Willow/Oz but the relationship with Willow/Tara is different and to me it is like a match made in heaven.

I definitely loved the Willow/Tara relationship way more than the Willow/Oz one. Don't get me wrong, I loved Oz, and his relationship with Willow, but it just can't compare to what Tara and Willow had together.

Oz brought Willow out of her shell in high school, and that is a big reason why I liked their relationship. I think they really loved each other, and they made a good couple, but I'm glad it ended eventually. I just don't think that they were perfect for each other.

Willow and Tara, I think, were perfect for each other. They loved each other so much, and really got along well. Some people think that they were too similar to have a good relationship, but I can't really see the similarities they share except for the fact that they are both female wiccas.

I don't think that Willow and Oz would have gotten back together even if Tara wasn't with Willow. Their relationship was just over, and I don't think it would have worked out. They had both grown too much apart, and had to move on.

I have to go with Oz though I like her best with Xander, in this juncture (Oz or Tara, namely), I choose Oz. Firstly I didn't like my second favorite character being gayed up all of a sudden (it looked like it where I stand) and secondly I very much thought Tara being a comforter rather than being a suitor. She has less passion than anyone else. She is too stable to my liking to a degree that I thought she was a villain at first. Also, I agree to the theory that Tara being part of the reason Oz and Willow never got back together if not the reason itself. If Willow didn't have an alternative in her life, she would have chosen Oz. It is human nature after all.

Wow. Tara is passionless? That's kind of harsh. I think Willow and Tara were very passionate together, just not so blatantly as other couples were.

That is a very depressing thought. Are you saying that Willow just would have settled if Tara wasn't around? I don't think that would have happened. Just because she would have been single doesn't mean she would have fallen back into Oz's arms. Especially since he hadn't really learned to control his wolf side yet. They just grew apart, and I think it would be horrible to be with someone just because there wasn't anyone else interested. Anyways, if Tara hadn't of come along, I'm sure Willow would have started dating someone else.
