Willow/Oz vs. Willow/Tara

Both Oz and Tara are great, but I'd have to say Tara. Tarow, I think it sounds better, is probably my favorite ship in the show.

Tara and Willow's relationship might not have been humorous, like Xanya, or have had the flash of the bigger ships, but I like how over the years Willow and Tara were able to grow while they were together, and even apart, and come out a stronger couple. There was so much more they could have been done with Tarow, for both characters. For Willow, I think Tara was the one and nothing will ever change that.

And Kennedy's not that bad. I think out of all the people Willow's dated, Kennedy's the most like her: she's cute, very social, and confident, maybe a little too confident.

While I love both relationships, I prefer Oz to Tara.
When Willow met Oz, she had no self-confidence. She didn't believe in herself, and finding out that her first love, Xander, was with Cordelia broke her. Oz helped pick up the pieces and make her believe in herself. He supported her when she started getting into magic, and he loved her for who she was, magic or not.
Tara was attracted to Willow initially because of the magic, and she was part of the reason Willow went on such a downward spiral in Season 6. I always found it a little hypocritical that Tara got on her case for using magic so much, seeing as how their relationship began as a means for both of them to get together and practice spells together. Tara loved Willow, but I don't think she loved her as deeply as Oz did, and I don't think their relationship was as solid as Willow/Oz because of the sheer fact that Willow had morphed into an abusive bitca.

I agree it was a little hypocritcal, but when Willow and Tara got together magic was a metaphor for their relationship, while in S6 the writer's morphed it into a metaphor for illegal drugs, like magic's something awful. Which is what Tara's family thought.

This mixed metaphor is why I don't like how Willow's descent into Dark Willow was written. Yeah, I was expecting Dark Willow to happen, and was excited for it--Willow's always had magic abuse issues-- but she abused power, not drugs.

Tara loved Willow, but I don't think she loved her as deeply as Oz did, and I don't think their relationship was as solid as Willow/Oz because of the sheer fact that Willow had morphed into an abusive bitca.

I've always felt that Willow would've went down that path no matter who she dated. Whenever Oz mentioned her magic in a less than favorable light, she didn't want to hear it, either.

I don't know about that... Oz had a way of getting through to her without making her mad. Tara never seemed to be able to do that. Whenever Oz and Willow talked about something, Oz was so calm and collected that they were able to talk like adults. When Tara and Willow faught, Tara's stammering and self-consciousness gave Willow exactly what she needed to turn things around and turn it into an argument.

That's true. When Tarow started, Tara was a bit of a doormat but she came into her own in S6. She stood up to Willow, left, and became her own person.

But, in the show when Oz mentioned his worry over Willow's power, Willow wasn't too happy, and it wasn't mentioned again. This was a shame, but as Oz left shortly after to deal with his own inner turmoil there was nothing that could be done about it.

I think Oz and Willow had just the right amount of teenage sweetness and adult-like conversation in their relationship. They snuggled while discussing life matters. They're like the perfect and ideal high school couple.

IMO, Tara and Willow were too much about the sweet.

That's cool.

I'm not much of a shipper, I never obsess about pairings or hate them, in the Buffyverse or anywhere else, I just like Tarow a little more than the others.🙂

I really can't choose. I love both couples equally and would be glad if Willow was with either one of them.

Ok....I absoutly love Oz and seth Green both. I used to claim that I was going to turn Seth gay so I could marrie him. I think Woz is cute and it fit for the time. But I am going to have to say that Twillow is my favorite. Twillow is my fav ship period of the show. They just clicked so well and had such great chemistry

I love Willow with Tara. I think they make such a cute couple. Was gutted when Tara dies but i would prefer Willow with Oz rather than with Kennedy.

I almost cried when Tara died, and it bothers me to see Warren walking around again, but he has no skin so looks like Willow got her revenge after all. And I'm not homophobic, I loved Tara and the Tillow relationship but I'll always believe Willow should be with Oz.

I loved both relationships, but Willow and Tara seem to have it for me. Willow and Oz seem to have the typical high school relationship so moving on to Tara was a growth for Willow. Willow and Tara have more of a mature relationship where learning and growth is important.

I saw the episode where Oz leaves Willow after the whole Veruca thing a few days ago and that scene where he breaks down in his van is very powerful.

I prefer Willow with Oz simply because i liked what they had more than what Tara and Willow had. I think Oz complemented Willow really well.

Plus, they were both so cute, geeky and redish 😀

Love this issue of ATF to bits. :)
Well, it's all very weird to me because when she was with Oz, I just couldn't imagine her with anyone else, and when she is with Tara, I kind of forget Oz!

I think Oz is just the sweetest thing!
As I am myself a kind of a very weird little nerdy geek, I related to Willow. I always felt like I needed to change who I was to find a boyfriend (19 years old, never had a boyfriend, unbelievable!).
And you know, Willow was a big nerd but she stayed true to herself, she never tried to change to be as cool as the others. And Oz sees her for the first time, in her Eskimau costume and he falls under her spell.
The way he acts with her before they even date is already extremely sweet, and when he tells her in the van that he wants her to kiss him because she wants to and not to make Xander jealous, and that he is ready to wait...It just shows how much respectful he is to her.

He could "take advantage" but he never does, he loves everything about Willow and that is really beautiful.
Plus, I think he was essential to Willow's evolution, because he loved her for who she was, it helped her gain self-confidence.

He is really the kind of boyfriend I wish I had!

Then he leaves, I felt as sad as Willow because I was always in awe just by looking at them!

It's all gone, the perfect, sweet, relationship they had and you start to wonder if Willow will find someone as great as Oz!

Then appears Tara, in Hush. The scene where she helps Willow to move the I-don't-remember-what-it-was is one of the scene I remembered even if I was quite young when I first saw it.
And even if I'm straight, I started falling in love with Tara's character. I think if she existed in real life (with Amber Benson's face and charism), I would so be over boys!

The love between Tara and Willow is also incredible!
And seeing them so happy together, I tend to forget how much I loved Oz. I actually tend to forget about Oz's existence!

What I love about Tillow is that, even if she seems very shy at first sight, Tara has a lot of...How can I say that?
Oz was always supporting Willow, maybe a little bit too much. Tara has a little bit more...opinion of her own.
She's never afraid to confront Willow when she goes to far, and in a way, she has much more will than Oz, who was a little bit Willow's lovely, faithful wild dog, following her around no matter what.

In the end, I mostly feel like both Oz and Tara belong to Willow, that if Oz had stayed, they would have been happy for a very long time, but he didn't stay and Willow found someone else that was "the one" as much as Oz was.

I guess I actually love Willow's relationship more than Willow's date by themselves, you know what I mean?

Big Tillow points!! I love Woz, but that 'ship never really seemed to have too much personality. It was cute, but like Oz, lacking in the area of emotion. Don't get me wrong- I know that Woz had its fair share of angst, but it was all kind of bland to me. It was cute.

Tillow, on the other hand, had big bubbling chemistry. They had passion when it needed to and grace when it needed that. It went beyond cute, although it did have plenty of that. It was beautiful.

Tillow. Forever and Always. Woz was great at first and it was really cute. Tillow was just alot more endearing and mature and it just made you look forward to their next scene. When Tillow broke up I was in tears and it just felt so alien to me to not see them together as a couple. When Woz broke it off, I was sad for Oz but I just kept thinking, "ok Willow, you can find someone taller than you now!" lol I also agree with some of you that I would prefer Willow to be with Oz than to be with Kennedy, that relationship was just too much too fast, which makes me appreciate Tillow because you saw how they grew together.

Summary: Tillow!

Yes! This is how I feel, almost spot on. (Except for Kennedy, of course, who I disdainfully hate.) With Willow and Tara, there was just something there, some kind of connection that couldn't be explained. There was always some kind of awkward tension between Oz and Willow. When with Tara, Willow was herself. Through good times and bad, they knew they always loved eachother, and when she was with Oz you couldn't be so sure about that. I just think Oz had a hard time showing emotion, but Tara never held back her true feelings for Willow and Willow never held back hers.
