Fred vs Willow

Who do you think was better throughout there run?

Fred? The bright young Physics student who was stuck in a hell dimension for 5 years (or more.)

Or was it

Willow the girl you known for Seven Seasons? The smart girl who learned about computers and then dabbled in the Black Magical Arts?
 
Fred, Fred, Fred. I'll love her forever. One of the most cherished characters IMO. She's puuurdy too!

But Willow is ginger and awesome. Yup.

However, Fred.

Tough one! Hmm I am going to say Willow. Although I love both of those female characters so much. I am choosing Willow because she is one of the major reasons I loved Buffy to begin with. Where as Fred was one of the many reasons. Make sense? So yes as of now Willow.

Fred was just so adorable and a great character overall.
 
I love Willow yes and if it wasn't for her I probably wouldn't have liked Buffy as much as Marisa Stated.

But honestly I would have to say Fred because of the Character Development for her. She showed quite a few sides of herself in such a short amount of time that it was well played out.

Fred is my choice and only choosing one that is how it will stay.

Gosh that is true. I can't make up my mind between Fred and Willow half the time lol. Ughh
Overall, even though I'm not crazy about her in the later seasons of the show, I love Willow more than Fred. I have a deep love for her in the early seasons of BtVS, and because of that, she will forever hold a spot in my heart moreso than Fred did.
 
Its a close thing but I would have to say Fred though she's just so cute and vulnerable in a way that Willow hadn't been since the end of season 2. Did anyone else love Orpheus when the two of them actually met? "Oh I'm a yammerer from way back."

That is a favorite moment.
Beautiful, smart, funny, great student, witty, great BFF, loyal, witchy, great smile, beautiful, great dancer...... and has the capability to destroy the world... all in a nice ginger package.

Willow by a mile!
 
Oh, tough choice! I love them both! Obviously, I'm going to say Willow. She's my favorite character of both series...es? But on Angel, besides Angel himself, Lorne and Fred are my favorite characters. Fred's so sweet, and I really love her character. I just got to the "Why can't I stay?" part, and I bawled!

But Willow is what drew me in to the whole Whendonverse. She's the reason I watched Buffy at all. Without that character, I'd be no where near the fan I am. 🙂

As much as I love Fred (who's one of my favorite characters in the whole verse), I have to say Willow. She's not only smart, but also powerful, with talents (the inborn talent of getting magic ability easier than others), cute, funny, fun.... I'm not saying Fred doesn't have some of those qualities, it's just that Willow has more of them.

Oh my god...this isn't even a contest...Willow's not my ulitimate favorite, but she's....legendary. She's part of the show. You can just take her away and trade her for...FRED!! :O Honestly, I'd trade Dawn for Fred, and I think that's saying alot 😀

I love both Fred and Willow. But I have to say that I prefer Willow. I fell in love with her at the very beginning and I think she has a wonderful evolution, maybe better than Buffy's. Fred has a very good evolution too, but maybe wasn't..."deep" enough, you know what I mean?
 
Fred because of the unusual combination of toughness (surviving all that time in a hostile environment with little more than her wits and bare hands) and shyness. Willow is smart, and her powers as a witch are awesome she has a tendency to do all dark and veiney in a crisis.

Plus, Fred is a down home Texas girl who no doubt remembers the Alamo. That alone would make her tops in my book.
