So I was watching BtVS S7 today and I totally notice that a lot of the time Willow wears some really UGLY clothes. And not just in this season; she wears ugly sh!t overall... I always wondered why they made her dress so badly... I mean, I know she was supposed to be a big geek at first but none of the geeks at my school would have worn a lot of the stuff she's been seen in. I blame the stylists for the show. I mean, I have to wonder who the hell is picking some of these pieces!
 
are you referring to over all or just season 7? because i liked her wardrobe in the last like 3 seasons or so. but yeah, seasons 1 and 2 especially were painful.
 
Well not everything she wore was absolutely atrocious, but yeah, especially in the earlier seasons I was like "WTF". All the colored overalls and the weird shirts with the long weird looking skirts... In one ep I watched today she had on this not-too-bad black blouse with a brown suede skirt and these horrible brown boots. I was like "Come on, Wardrobe! What the hell are you doing to Aly!" I mean, I know in the beginning Aly was supposed to play the little nerdy sidekick, but she was too cute for them to dress her in those nasty ensembles. It bothers me. LOL

I rather liked her wardrobe in seasons 6 and 7! Especially around the "Smashed", "Wrecked", "Gone" epis....yeah. yum.
 
I did too. The Smashed and Wrecked clothes were awesome.

And so was her hat in Season 4! you know the one that was getting a spin off it was in that many episodes. XD
 
I really loved her outfit in the Wild at Heart, but I do too feel sorry for out sweet Willow with her "forced by stylists" bad taste in clothing.
Or was she just written that way?

Love Willows clothes!! lol....i love all things willow 😀 I've got to say her Leather attire she wore in Doppelgangland was AWESOME!! lol

Still not sure the Wish/DGL clothes count for the purposes of this thread, though. 😉
 
No they don't... LOL I'm talking about the crazy skirts/shirts they put her in all the time, and what was up with all the God-awful colored overalls and stuff in the first couple seasons?! LOL
 
I don't know...I never hated them...they were cute! Very "Blossom". I kinda loved the way Willow's style evolved as she did. I know I've worn some pretty henious outfits in my time... 😉
 
I think a lot of Willow's outfits are quirky cool. The bathing duck top she wears at the end of "I, Robot ... You Jane" for example. In the beginning her clothes are often somewhat childish, but then so is she. Teenagers mature at different tempi, she wasn't excactly in a hurry to grow up.

Of course, I might just be defending Willow's geeky style because I was closer to quirky than cool myself when I was sixteen. I could very well have worn Will's dress from the first episode (but not with the white jumper underneath).
 
Really? I always think Willow's clothes in s6 and s7 was awesome except the hairy red shirt in the end of Afterlife. I think her shirts in s7 was good and fit on her. Ummm let me think...... the worst in s7 was the red shirt with red hose with the skirt in Selfless. 🙂
 
I've always loved Willow's style. Maybe not the outfit we first see her in, but generally I thought she looked kinda funky. In a good way. 😀
 
Weirdly enough, I like the first outfit we see Willow in, I like plaid, and I like dresses. I almost think her early style bordered on being a tad Gossip Girl. But I hated what she more the majority of the time. Which is a pity, because she's such a cute girl to dress - in HIMYM she always looks so adorable in her labels.
 
i really like willow's clothes--all of them, even the coloured overalls and weird-coloured tights coupled with the dresses and skirts. i thought they were quirky more than geeky...and she looked good in them. lots of colour, a total contrast to buffy (whose clothes i absolutely loathed for a majority of the seasons, especially the early ones)
