Willow's Clothes

i actually liked the clothes she was in
it was the late 90s big sweaters and stuff were in
you have to look at the time they filmed it all

i really like willow's clothes--all of them, even the coloured overalls and weird-coloured tights coupled with the dresses and skirts. i thought they were quirky more than geeky...and she looked good in them. lots of colour, a total contrast to buffy (whose clothes i absolutely loathed for a majority of the seasons, especially the early ones)

LOVED the weirdly coloured tights. Didn't dig that she wore them with sneakers. But I liked the overalls and tights and craziness. I would wear most of her outfits... But with proper shoes!

oh, but the sneakers were so cute! and colourful too!
RE:

So I was watching BtVS S7 today and I totally notice that a lot of the time Willow wears some really UGLY clothes. And not just in this season; she wears ugly sh!t overall... I always wondered why they made her dress so badly... I mean, I know she was supposed to be a big geek at first but none of the geeks at my school would have worn a lot of the stuff she's been seen in. I blame the stylists for the show. I mean, I have to wonder who the hell is picking some of these pieces!

I kinda dug Willows wardrobe S6 and S7. *shrugs* Although I think clothes are over rated and would have rather seen her do the entire series nude. HAHAHA. Completely nude BTVS....the tought has merit.

I'd watch THAT show for sure!
I really liked Willow's wardrobe. In the early seasons it was child-like, girly, playful and, frankly, adorable. It made her dorkiness even more charming. Then, as she grew and progressed and really got the hang of the being a Wicca thing her clothes became more down-to-earth and Tara-like but still fit her, as she became more and more witch and less computer gal.

All I can say is, it fit her character and its development. Had she worn clothes like Buffy or Cordelia she would lack a lot of charm and come off as a mere copy.

Also, her dress in Once More With Feeling. I love it. It was so swishy and pretty and I want it! x)

After all, BtVS is not a show which makes its actors look their best but tries to make the characters seem more real and alive, unless many others. Which says a lot. A show about a vampire slayer and her gang of equally more than ordinary friends that is more believable than your average high school drama.

Willows outfits in Seasons 4-7 were good. Seasons 1-3 were some what scary. She dressed like she was 12, Not 16. lol. But I love Willow anyway.

I love Willows clothes.
Especially the cute pink outfit she wears in Dopplegang land (not the leather one...well that was pretty nice too 😛 )
I really like all of her colourful weird clothing, when I was a kid a lot of girls were trying to dress like Buffy while I was trying to dress like Willow. 🙂

i never really noticed in season 7, but in seasons 1-2 , what were they thinkin?
maybe it was the 'style back then, ha

I think she was really uncomfortable with her body in the early seasons. For example, she goes as a ghost for the first Halloween episode despite Buffy's best efforts to get her to dress more flirtatious. She wasn't confidant at all in her own body. That really started to change in the Halloween episode, but changed completely once she got to college. I can relate to the feeling uncomfortable in my body, so I didn't mind the clothes and found them to be quite adorable.

As for the later seasons, I loved her clothes. They are sexy and fun with out being over the top about it. That is what I love about them.

I think the clothing fit the character quite well.

In the earlier seasons we see her and she's obviously young, outcasted (by high school standards), definitely geeky, and not with the "in-crowd". And it shows in her cloth styling. Over time her general style stays the same but the outfits mature as she did. They're still kind of geeky, not the "cool" clothes all the kids (or adults) are wearing but they're still not as kooky as when she was a kid. It's like that for some of the other characters as well, just not as drastic.

Her outfits were suppose to be... special, weren't they? She wasn't suppose to try to dress sexy or all that well.

Okay, in season 3-4, she did make an effort, because I guess he wanted to look cute for Oz, and later Tara.

It was actually not until she turned gay(discovered she was gay) that did she start to dress attractively. Then it had a more Wiccan feel to it too.

In season 7 I did notice less dresses and "Wicca-clothes", but I figured that was because of the lack of her Wicca girlfriend.

I kinda think she's more attractive in S7 because she doesn't wear skirt anymore. I mean, attractive to girls only. It's like I can tell she's gay from the way she dresses, especially that costume in Same Time, Same Place.
