Is it true that willow power is greater then she suspects...Please tell me can she make herself even powerful by training ...Is this true.

Well, obviously she will become more powerful the longer she uses magic or trains. Think back to season three where all she could do is float pencils. Then fast foward to season six where she was powerful enough to end the world. She can even fly in season eight! I think she is still more powerful than she knows. So far in season eight I don't think she's had an emotional battle yet. Maybe if Xander or Kennedy were to be killed then we would really get to see how powerful she is. I think her powers are tied to her emotions just as Buffy's are at times. Probably in the big fight at the end of this season we will see Willow display some forms of magic we didn't think she was capable of.

i always felt she had more to give... When she was about to destroy the world (to which Xander stopped 🙂) she just seemed like she was holding back? anyone get this feeling too?

I could see that, I guess. Especially because Willow was still deep, deep down there somewhere and that's the reason why Xander was able to reach her. Maybe the reason that burning thing was gong so slow was because normal Willow was still partially in control of Dark Willow. The magics were what turned Willow, she wasn't evil herself.

I agree Willow will definatley have more to offer. ( I'm going to speculate for a while here) She mentioned herself in ToYL to Fray that she was no longer human and she was still alive that far in the future so the magic must take her over again at some point. I wouldn't be suprised if by the end of season 8 she's the one who has to fight either fight Twilight or reverse her spell in order to save the slayers. We know that the reason that slayers have the power that they do is because they have an esscence of demon in them and we know from Fray that their are no Slayers for a couple of centuries, so after all the Slayers are either killed or deactivated where does that power go - I would guess back to Willow. There cannot be anyore potentials for it to go to
I also wouldn't be suprised ( and I have only read up to volume 4) that when Willow cast her spell and created all these slayers she also messed up a lot of other magical things. For example, the reason Dawn keeps changing. Maybe that has nothing to do with the thrisewise and she is showing signs of what the key (Dawn ) has been in the past before the monks put her in human form.

It was Willow who was responsible for Dark Willow, not the magic. Magic was a means for her to express her inner darkness.

This doesn't make any sense to me, considering that the spell in "Chosen" was about the Slayer line. Also, Willow wasn't able to change the Slayer line on her own. She had to use the scythe.

you really think willow wanted to go around flaying people? i don't know. never really thought about her being that crazed with pain/anger before.
A more powerful Willow? In Buffy we saw her fly, control people, fire energy blasts, in one s6 ep we see her literally change the bronze to how she wants it to be! Exactly what more power can she get?

She changed the boy band into a girl punk group lol :)

Yeah but her power activated it her power is the key.So willow is powerful to activated the scthy ,because she powerful.

At the begining of s7 when willow was learning to control her power she was talking about how 'its all connected'. If she is powerful enough to change one primal spell ( changing the potentials to slayers), why couldn't that have a knock on effect to other spells. ????
As we have found out in past seasons , whenever willow delibritley casts a big spell , it comes with a magical consequence.

I also agree that willow has always been holding back a bit, because she wants to control the magic, I'd like to see what happens when she goes that little bit further and cannot control anymore and it takes over her

Essentially Willow can do whatever she wants whenever she wants. As far as I can tell the only thing limiting her is her lack of imagination (And the writers not wanting to 'Deus Ex Machina' the entire plot of all of Buffy and Angel for that matter and just saying 'Willow fixed it' and ending the comics).

She is so over the top powerful that it's silly.

If it's not obvious, I was not particularly happy with just how powerful they made Willow, thought it killed her character a bit.

I was happy because her character development went deeper and darker,But agree because its not cute willow anymore, she a powerful wicth .
Q-tip agrees: She flys in Family? I dont remember that.

The last scene when she was dancing with Tara.

I agree. I wasn't able to relate to Willow ever since she became a witch, especially in S6, S7 and right now in S8. I liked her much better as a computer geek.

I remember now :)
I think willow character development went darker then her original, cutie reliable computer geek. But somehow Dark willow thrills me with excitement, the originals character was better, lighter, funny .But I love character switch different personality, because how life makes it course the huge problem in their lifes, Magic addictions came across in season 2 and she progress from their, the magic’s gives consequences and problem like a drug addiction. You see how drugs effect people personalities and how their act in life. So again it’s relate to main problem in life people change through drugs. Grief, although conventionally focused on the emotional response to loss, It can change a person and the magic’s are in her from the beginning there are really powerful but I like that she is trying to stop using magic’s too much but she cant help it unintentionally because she powerful…😉!

I like that she is trying to stop using magic's too much but she cant help it unintentionally because she powerful"¦😉!

The fact she can't help, to me says she's weak, not powerful. If she was as strong and powerful as she's made out to be then she would have been able to control it. Of course, she has power to conjure the magicks she uses, but aside from that she's just as weak as she always was. In fact, no she was much weaker than she had ever been.

Willow of season 1-3, four as well at a push, would never have lost control like that. Which is why of the main reason, I can't stand Dark Willow.

But yet again thats why I use the word unintentional ,remember in season 7, “same time same place”. Willow, “I did it”, Then Buffy’s says, “You did a spell?” and willow replied and said “I didn't mean to. I-I just remember thinking I wasn't ready to see you guys yet. I was afraid we wouldn't, you know, connect.” she is trying to stop using magic’s too much but she can’t help it unintentionally because she powerful…! She was sent back from a powerful witch craven in England to master her powers. She is connected to a great power, whether she feels it or not, But did Giles state “You know we can't. This isn't a hobby or an addiction. It's inside you now, this magic. You're responsible for it”. So basically she not weak, convenit and intentional that’s her power, her powers in her now..

But for me, she wouldn't have had to go to the convent and learn to control her 'power' if she'd been strong and powerful enough to control it in the first place. I also don't see magic as power, to be perfectly honest, which is again why I disliked Dark Willow. She was so arrogant and cocky but as far as I was concerned her 'power' was a trick. She is I suppose a powerful witch, but she is by no means the strongest female in the Buffyverse, not for me anyway.
I just don't agree that unintentional use of her magic makes her powerful, but a lot of that lies in my personal opinion towards her, I guess.

An essence of power is the key to activate the magic inside of her without that power she wouldn’t do magic, want the aspect of the show shown how powerful she can be with magic’s. Amy stated “This is not about hate. It's about power. Willow always had all the power, long before she even knew what to do with it”, After season 2 she knew how to do magic’s after that spell to cure angel and she did it with a little experience and knowledge, yeah a little with jenny website but not a lot, But she had the power to do it, to activated the magic’s inside of her.,
I love characters show their inner evilness, because we all have evil side to us. The ignorant and cockiness came from the death of Tara, emotions and grief can give her the power to became powerful,
My opinion is that willow is the most powerful female in the buffyverse.

I think magic is an external force Willow learned to use rather than something that was just inside her.
