Willow's relationship with Kennedy

Sorry if this been talked about before already but is it just me or did Kennedy & Willow's relationship seemed more like LUST than LOVE like Willow's previous relationships with Oz & Tara?

I mean Willow just met Kennedy & she's already having sex with her episodes later?! It took until the fifth season for Willow & Tara to have their first kiss (that we know of)
 
Willow and Kennedy is generally one of the most hated "ships" in the Buffyverse...with good reason too, Kennedy was such an annoying character, I wanted someone to punch her in the face. And yes, compared to Oz and Tara, Willow/Kennedy was a joke

The entire Willow/Kennedy thing just seemed like a combination of a teenaged crush coupled with a lonely woman, not yet recovered from the loss of her greatest love, who basically just said, "What the hell? We're almost certainly all gonna wind up ubervamp food anyhow. Might as well make a little hay in the meantime." Until Season 8 came along, I had really figured that they would have split up on the bus leaving Sunnydale after the final credits had rolled, or the next day at the latest.
 
I agree. I got the feelings that Kennedy didn't really care that Willow had just lost her girlfriend, she just charged her. She wouldn't take no for an answer. She saw that Willow was still hurting, yet she refused to let go. You want her? fine. But wait five minutes before you jump on her and in bed with her.
 
It was a terrible relationship.

But I have no problem admitting that both Willow and Kennedy are smoking hot. Both are 10's. Both are yummy.

With that said, I'd rather have a 10 inside, than a 10 outside. And Kennedy is pretty yucky in the inside. She tried to have the attitude of Faith, but she was not Faith.

Er, Willow and Tara got it on either Who Are You or New Moon Rising.

Willow and Tara moved a lot faster than Willow/Oz or Willow/Kennedy, I believe.

More lust than love? Maybe. In comparision to Woz and Tillow? Sure.

If people think that Kennedy didn't care about Willow they should rewatch certain episodes. One thing can't be denied though, Kennedy has a very different personality to Tara and Oz. If I should compare the Kennedy/Willow relationship to any other on the show it would be Spuffy. Or at least early Spuffy. Spike being pushy although having feelings and Buffy just wanting to feel anything at all.
 
Personally I felt the whole Willow/Kennedy relationship was a joke. It advanced far too quickly and I don't see what Willow saw in Kennedy in the first place. I never really saw it as a proper relationship, more just a fling. I expected them to be seeing other people by the time season 8 came along.
 
Kennedy was a rebound relationship for Willow. That's it. It never would've lasted as long as it did in s8. Maybe Kennedy had strong feelings for Willow, but I really don't think Willow reciprocated them. Not completely. Willow moved way too fast. She wasn't done dealing with Tara's death, as evidenced by The Killer In Me. Tara and Oz were relationships that were able to develop and let Willow fall in love. With Kennedy, things went way too fast.

Kennedy was all wrong for Willow anyhow. She tried to be this big badass, told the most powerful wicca we know of that she didn't believe in magic, and, this is my Willow-loving bias here, completely took advantage of a grieving woman rather than nurturing her broken heart. Kennedy is not a good person.
 
Firts of all I have to say thatI liked the Kennedy/Willow relationship. Seems that there are not much of us Kennow friends here! But I agree that Tillow and Woz was much better and concluded more feelings than the Kennedy/Willow ship. I also agree that there is more lust in the W/K relationship.

Oh yes Willow is so hot and Kennedy is very pretty too! I think I would be disappointed if Willlow would have rested single the rest of the season! But I can understand all guys who pretend that there could be a better possibility for her!
 
It's not that Kennedy doesn't care about Willow. She just doesn't care about what she feels. I believe she did like her and trully wanted to be with her. But she didn't really care what Willow wanted. She didn't try to comfort her about Tara's death, she just asked questions while coming on to her. How could someone who cares about someone else's feelings hit on them while talking about their girlfriend's death? I also don't think Kennedy is such a good person. Willow deserves better. And it has nothing to do with Tara or Oz.
 
I agree. It took Willow and Oz 2 full seasons to have sex...and it didn't take long at all with Tara or Kennedy.

I actually really liked Kennedy, but ever since Oz left the picture I have always been weird about Willow's significant others.

Don't get me wrong....I love Tillow, but it took a really long time for me to like Tara. Once more with feeling is pretty much when I said,"ok, ok, this is legit." Then of course, she dies in that season.

Back on topic, I do like Kennedy but I still don't think she is good enough for Willow.

I didn't say it didn't. I just said it took longer, the reason why is pretty obvious.

But wouldn't take longer considering it was her first time with a woman, as well?

Besides the fact that Willow was more confident by the time (which grew even more while they're together) I have a hard time imagining how it would feel to go from sex with the one gender to another since I have never been in that situation.
