Willow's Speech to Riley

Willow is not my favorite character on Buffy. I love her, but that honor goes to Buffy. Anyways, she does has my all time favorite Buffy moment. When Riley approaches her about getting to know Buffy and she goes on her speech about love. When she says "figured it was" I want to marry her!!!! And the whole "she likes cheese" it is all brilliant!!! Allison showed some amazing acting there. Anyone else agree with me. Was this moment not simply amazing
 
I have to say it also one of my favorite moments as well. I think Aly Hannigan just has great comedic timing and it really comes out in the scene. Also her protectiveness of her friend is something I admire and find ADORABLE! All the Willow/Riley interaction in that episode is something that I love to watch, Riley ends up protecting her later on which is a nice role reversal from Willow threatening to kill him if her were to ever hurt Buffy. I like it!

Same here! It was a great moment, and like WS said, Alyson can handle moments like these just so very well. And in this particular little scene, Marc Blucas' acting is also appropriate, and his timing good.
 
To be honest, I'm not remembering anything particularly special in this scene. I do remember Willow telling Riley that Buffy liked cheese, but apart from that, nothing in the scene even stands out enough for me to remember the specifics of it.

I thought it was a little sad the speech as she refers to relationship as doom and gloom and broken hearts. But gotta love her.
 
OH my god.... i had totally forgotten about that scene. I really like the whole rubb-off that she shows from her break up with Oz and she talks about the "still beating heart being ripped from the chest..." or something like that

and thats funny that you said the thing about the breathing..... lots of things that i've read have said that, but i have never noticed that... any one else?

Thing is, i only started noticing the breathing from s4 onwards :)
"If you hurt her, I will beat you to death with a shovel. Vague disclaimers are nobody's friend." (or something like that)
Willow's is just great!

And yeah... this might have been one seen where I didn't want to slap Riley. Maybe because Will does most of the talking?
 
Love how this went from a "we love Willow" thread to a "we hate Riley" one. Cant say i disagree though.

I noticed the wierd breathing too, kinda annoying, but dont really notice it after a while.

This is one of those scenes which are great beacuse its not essential to the story or anything, its just nice to see two characters together, who usually dont get that much screen time just the two of them.
 
I liked the "cheese" speech, but one of my favourite Willow moments in season 4 is when she tells off Parker when he tries to hit on her after she confronts him about hurting Buffy: "how dumb do you think i am!?" genius!
 
I don't remember the speech so much, but I have used the vague disclaimer line before. To my sister's boyfriend.
