What interesting noises have you got on your PC?

For example, my start-up sample is Kosh from Babylon 5 saying "And so it begins..." and my shut-down one is Wallace (Wallace and Gromit of course🙂) - "All's well that ends well, that's what I say..."

I have also used Wallace as a start-up with "Right, off we go then..."

If anyone needs to hear them let me know - I don't want to take up the blessed bandwidth by attaching them 🙂
 
On our old computer, I used to have a ton of X-Files desktop themes, with the ending and closing sounds. But, on my new computer, I don't have any. Do you know where I could find some Angel themed ones for WindowsXP?

I don't know off the top of my head but I imagine a search in Google or Yahoo etc for "desktop themes - Angel" or ".wav files - Angel" or similar might yield something. Or you could have a surf round the various fan sites or even the official site (I haven't visited there in a v long time 🙂) as I have found those to be good resources for that sort of thing. The Papermoon site (see link on board home page) has loads of Buffyverse graphics btw - courtesy of our very own Cordelia (plug OK for you, Cordy?)
 
my start up is this just because it cracks me you every time i here it

I haven't the faintest idea how to program my computer to play sound files in the way that you guys all mention......I'm a dumbass when it comes to stuff like that....

But if I could....I'd go the geeky route and make my PC sound like HAL the computer from 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY.

When I shut down the computer.....it would say something like....."I know that you and Frank were planning to disconnect me, and I'm afraid that's something I cannot allow to happen." 😛

Oldie - if you can find the 2001 .wav files I'll happily do you a step-by-step guide to making them play. Hal would be cool - singing "Daisy" while he closes down...you could stick a little red light on top of your monitor 🙂

I just downloaded some more
I got Spike singing My way for when I start Windows, I got Cordy saying 'Dont you have an elsewhere to be?' for when I shut down and when someone signs into MSN I have 'Grr Argh!'

For starting windows I have:

ANYA: ''I dont understand. Im pretty, Im young...why didnt you take advantage of me?''

And for leaving windows I have:

BUFFY: ''Whats this?''
WILLOW: ''A doodle. I do doodle. You too. You do doodle too!''
 
Ive changed it now...lol...Im having fun with this!!!

''Grrr Arghh'' is my leaving message, and the doodle one is my starting message 😀

Great geek minds think alike, OM. My windows error sound is HAL saying "I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that." My shut-down sound is HAL saying, "My mind is going...". My start-up sound is the WHOPR (Wargames) asking "Shall we play a game?" My email notification sound is a gunshot, followed by Sameul L. Jackson saying, "I'm sorry! Did I break your concentration?" from Pulp Fiction.
 
You've inspired me, I have "I'm seventeen, looking at linoleum makes me think about sex" when I log on and Grr Argh when I leave.
