Oldie - if you can find the 2001 .wav files I'll happily do you a step-by-step guide to making them play. Hal would be cool - singing "Daisy" while he closes down...you could stick a little red light on top of your monitor 🙂

OM - I think it's pretty much the same for all versions of Windows but, just in case it isn't, which version do you have?

It will be best if I do this at home later, because we have all sound options disabled here at work🙁 and I can't check through all the steps before I post. But basically - save your files in a folder on your hard drive (mine is imaginatively called "Sounds" 🙂),go to Windows Control Panel, open the Sounds icon and assign sounds from your folder to Windows events from there. A more detailed guide to follow...

Do you know, I don't know why that Simpsons quote isn't on my PC either...must go look for it.🙂

LOL..I wasn't expecting to receive any sort of HAL guide....I never even let you know whether I wanted one or not....so it is I who should apologize for moving YOU to apologize.....or....something to that effect.......yes...... 😛

You're a busy man, Mr. P.....and I won't impose on your generosity. If you have the leisure time at some point....a HAL guide would be great...but if not, no biggie Sir. I do thank you.

I'll get it done in the next couple of days OM - which version of Windows are you using? I have W98 and XP Home so I should be able to cover all bases - the principles are pretty much the same for all versions.
