Now, I'm sure they stitched up the holes they cut into your mouth. It's probably gonna feel really weird when they pull out those strings 😱

Cheers! I got dissolvable stitches this time. I've had stitches in my mouth when I got a big molar out and they had to pull them out.

Honestly, the thing that sticks in my head is them cutting through to get to the tooth. It felt and sounded like someone cutting meat, in my mouth! But then I suppose that is exactly what happens.
 
I realise I'm not sounding very reassuring for folks still to get the procedure done. 😛

It's not so bad, the only bad bit is the pressure of them twisting and turning. The cracking tooth and drill sounds bad but you feel nothing. The sedation would have also taken away that feeling of pressure, so if they can find a vein you're sorted.

That how I felt about my caesarean section. I felt like I was being sawed in two and pulled apart but I couldn't feel anything except for very distant feeling pressure. How the mind likes to imagine.

I'd like to say it looks as "ok" as it feels but I'd say that would be pushing it. I remember asking my other half what it looked like/what was going on during the c-sec and he said they had my intestines on a table. Still not sure if that's true. I didn't ask anymore questions after that.

twice now you've admitted to living in Scotland, my commiserations. At this rate you'll be in the same category as little Gwennie Poohs, she has admitted to like living in Scotland. If you had more than one day of blue sky during summer I'd join the huddled masses there.
I can still remember standing on the grass on the foreshore at Largs looking to the Isle of Arran, it was soddin cold.
No doubt you will soon notice a change in your life, now that your wisdom teeth are out. Removal of them allows your common sense to increase.

Oh I like it too, certain places. She complains about Glasgow but you miss it when you leave. The Isle of Arran is beautiful, Largs not so much with its beach of stones! Our summer was particularly bad this year, I think we had one proper day of sun and heat. Heat meaning about 22 Celsius...

Went to London once. Worst place ever. I was crying tears of joy arriving at Glasgow Central Station.

I remember getting the train home from far away, when we were wee, and the arrival back to Glasgow was so memorable. Probably cos it takes so long, it'd be dark and the city lights would come back into view.
OMG, 22 degrees celcius I think it got that cold once or twice in winter. It is ten minutes past seven right now and it is 21.9 degrees celcius on its way to about 40 degrees C.
Do you know why the beach at Largs is stones?
When they were excavating the entrance of Merlins cave in Tintagel they moved the ship loads of stones and they needed somewhere to put the twenty thousand tons of stones so they took them to Largs. That gave people something to do in Largs - skimming stones towards Arran, or as in my case - chucking.

Lucky man!

I was in Paris during the heatwave in 2003 and jeez, that was the worst. I had packed Scottish weather clothes and the temp got up to 37 Celsius. I thought I was dying!



Anyway, the surgery has required me to eat very little, and I am bloody starving. Grrr! I have lost about 30 pounds this year, I don't need to lose anymore... Someone needs to cook me up a big fattening Christmas dinner. I like pork.

You haven't yet hit the bad taste in your mouth when the self-dissolving stitches start to decay.
