I just watched the last 10 - 15minutes of the episode on Chiller channel, it made me think wouldn't it be cool if we saw this alternative verse for more than one episode. Two episodes of this verse. Or is one episode enough?! I mean sure... at the end, right before everything goes back to normal... The master snaps Buffy's neck. But to stretch out everything and see more of the alternative verse would be kind of cool.

Hm, I don't know. I'd be cool if it was done right, but I think by the end of this episode I really started to miss the real Sunnydale, you know? 😛

I think seeing it every now and again would have been cool, but other shows (I'm looking at you DS9) have suffered from over-using the alternate universe storyline, in my opinion

That would have been tiresome, I think. We did get the excellent Dopplegangland continuation of it anyway.

I don't know... I love "The Wish" and I thought the alternate universe was awesome but I don't know that I would have wanted to see it for more than one episode.

I think we did get a continuation of it really with Vampire Willow coming back in Doppelgangland. I really enjoyed The Wish and thought it was great fun but I thought the story was wrapped up well enough in one episode. There are episodes and stories that I feel could have used more time but I'm not sure if this was one of them.

Yeah, it did. I guess, I kind of wish to see a little more (another episode), btw, no pun intended.:P

Yeah, I suppose. I guess sometimes, I think it would be cool to see this alternative verse for a little bit longer.

I actually think it would be pretty cool. But there should be more characters from the real Sunnydale in the alternate universe. Not only Cordelia... who manages to get killed after, like, 10 minutes. It would be a little like Pylea in Angel, in my opinion, only that it's actually the same place.

I suppose one way of doing it that I would have enjoyed would have involved showing some more history of Buffy. Maybe dragging the episode out with flashbacks to Buffy living her life in Los Angeles. Maybe showing her mum, her watcher and her destruction.

I know that we can assume a lot of what Buffy has gone through, but I think it would have been interesting to actually SEE it.

I think so too. I think it would be interesting to actually SEE it.
I don't think I would have wanted another episode in the Wishverse, but it would have been interesting if the scoobies had somehow become aware of what happened in the Wishverse. 🙂

I think it would have been really cool, the episode is one of my favourites.

I've always thought of the concept for Giles' 'Ripper' show and the alternate universe of Buffy could've been blended together.

For example, wouldn't it be neat to see Giles and the 'White hats' from the Wish fighting, and sometimes losing the many threats the Scoobies faced in those first 3 seasons?

I for one will always remain curious how the 'White Hats' were formed, that in the least would have made for a very cool episode.

darkwolfie100 Me too. Even if it took like only 5 minutes to explain where the scar came from.

Abbeycat & darkwolfie100 exactly, there is so much fertile ground to be explored in the Wish-verse it's a great shame it's not been explored more, to my knowledge.

It must have been one hell of a fight for a Slayer to end up with a scar, right?

I wish there were more episodes, especially with Vamp Willow. I loved both alt universe episodes and thought they were brilliant.

Goby I thought it was interesting. I wanted to see a little bit more.🙂 You and I might be one of the only few who wanted to see a little bit more of the alternative world from Wish.

I think it would have been nice to see maybe one more episode of the Wishverse, especially if it showed the after math of The Master killing Buffy. None of the main characters that we loved in the show had survived (Angel, Buffy, Willow, Xander and Cordy), so watching Oz and Giles pull in new recruits and try and battle The Master would have been refreshing. Summer Glau would have been an excellent new Slayer.

It was a good episode, but I wouldn't want to see more of that world. Too many plot holes.

What plot holes? they never made any more episodes? So how do you know there would be plot holes?
Sweet J No explanation on where Darla and Luke are, they've always been with the Master, they wouldn't just up and leave. Angel killed Darla to save Buffy. No Buffy = no reason to kill Darla, and Luke was old enough and strong enough to defend himself against Giles and his men.

Why would the Mayor let the Master gain so much power so close to the Ascension? He wanted Spike gone as soon as he came back to Sunnydale in season 3. No way would he let the Master and his men run the town.

Where is the Initiative? They didn't just pop up out of nowhere, their underground lap would have taken a long time to build. Riley and his men would have taken down The Bronze come daylight.

Angel died. Angel is destined to become a champion and play the deciding role in good vs. evil. He has to for fill the Shanshu Prophecy, plus Connor has to be born so he can for fill the prophecy of killing Sahjhan. Sahjhan knew Connor was the one to kill him, which is why he spent most of season 3 trying to get baby Connor killed. Anya's wish wouldn't have changed what Sahjhan learned about his future.

The Wish took everything and threw it out the window. Personally I like to think it's because the higher powers knew that any and all spells done to create new universes would be undone and wiped from existence. They see past, present and future. If any wish from a mere vengeance demon were to upset their plans and balance of the universe they would have stepped in and took control of the situation. But still, I think it'd be best to just avoid making those inconsistencies in the first place. As much as I loved "The Wish" and Vamp Willow I wouldn't want to see her or that world again.
