Thousands. There were thousands of them. He'd seen about 3 demons together in his short time. Three. Not thousands. They were all down in a cavern. A spiral stair case was their only way out of the Hell. The demons gathered below were the same ones that attacked Angel years ago, and the demons that attacked Angel and Michael in the parking lot. Why was there so many of them? Why were they there? There? It seemed so familiar. The energies shifting and the scents hovering over the pit were so familiar to him.
Angel, Spike, Michael, Wesley, Gunn, Fred, Harmony, Lorne, and Eve stood on a large cliff over looking the thousands of demons. They were not alone. The entire army of Wolfram & Hart solders were present. Guns raised, hearts ready for a battle.
(series of flashes)
*A soldier is hacked to death by a demon.
*Angel snaps a demons' neck.
*Fred shoots a demon in the neck.
*Gun chops a demon in half with a large ax.
*Spike decks a demon, knocking it back into the cliff.
*Michael panics and shoots his crossbow, hitting a demon in the heart, killing it anyway.
(things take a turn for the worse)
*A demon disarms Fred and cuts her throat with a large knife.
*Gun dodges an attack, but doesn't watch his back. He gets cut in half.
*Wesley gets his skull pounded in by a weapon.
*A demon grabs Michael and starts cutting every vein in his body with a blunt knife.
*A demon slashes his sword, cutting off Angels' head.
Michaels' eyes opened wide as he quickly sat up in bed. He was covered in a hot sweat, his body was energy-less, he was dissy, and breathing heavily. What was that? He had never had a dream like that before. It didn't make any sense.
(flashes from the dream)

Michael let out a blood curtling scream. He looked down at himself and he was covered in blood. He felt his body tensing up, and his injuries were getting worse. Hotter, almost burning sweat, he couldn't move now, his world was spinning, and the blood. How was there blood? He didn't even get cut or stabbed.
Angel ran into the living room, worried about his young friend. He shook him, looking down at him. "Michael?! Can you hear me?"
"The blood!" Michael said crying terribly. "Oh, God."
Angel looked down at Michael. He looked him up and down. There was no blood. Angel sat next to him on the couch. "Michael... I think you are seeing things. Try to calm down for a second." Angel could tell Michael was breathing hard. There was always this thing with vampires. They could sense arousal, fear, breathing, blood, etc. He could sense the fear and breathing in Michael, and it was not a good combination.
"What?" Michael looked up at Angel with tear filled eyes.
"Just breathe. Take a deep breath in, and a deep breath out." Angel commanded forcefully.
Michael took the tone in his voice seriously and slowly began to control his breathing. He pulled his eyes away from the ceiling, and looked down at himself. Angel was right. There was no blood. "What?"
"You stay here. I'm going to go get you some things. Remember to breathe." Angel got off the couch and walked out of the room.
Michael sat on the couch, still shaking terribly. He looked at his hands, which were vibrating rapidly. He balled his hands into fists and put them in his lap, trying to stable them.
Soon Angel came back in the room. He was carrying a glass of water and a t-shirt. He sat next to Michael on the couch. "Sit up." Angel said.
He nodded and slowly tried to get up. It hurt so much to move, although he knew he was still calmed down. Angel had to hold onto his shoulder and help him sit up properly.
"Drink this. It helps." Angel handed him the glass of water.
Michael took a sip and almost dropped the glass on the floor. Covered in hot sweat, pain, and dissy-ness was not the best combination to have a sudden shock of cold water in your body. He sighed, putting the glass on coffee table with shaky hands.
"Tell me." Angel said, gently now. "What happened?"
"I don't know." Michael said, still crying slightly. "I was having a dream. There were thousands of those demons in a pit. We all went into fighting and we were doing good. Then the tables turned. We all died, you, me, Fred, Gunn, Wesley. There were a lot of Wolfram & Hart solders their too, but I know they all died. I could... I could feel the pain."
"Hey, it was just a dream." Angel said hugging him.
Michael hugged him back and then backed away from him. "Something was familiar."
"Familiar?"
"Yeah, um, I don't know how to explain it really." He sat quietly for a few seconds. "It seemed familiar. I don't know how to explain it! But something about the place was familiar, like I've been there before."
"Could it have been the place where you were 'created'?" Angel asked.
"No." He shook his head. "Or maybe... God, I don't know."
"Ok, well, you go back to sleep." Angel put his hand on his shoulder. "You scared the Hell outta me. Not the screaming, but the state I sensed you in. Don't ever get that terrified again, or I'll bite you."
"I'd like to see you try." Michael pulled the collar away from his shirt so his neck was bare. "Oh, look, this young warm powerful blood corsing uselessly through my veins."
"I could bite you, you know." Angel laughed. "Just because I have a soul doesn't mean I can't take a chunk outta you." He said, suddenly seriously.
Michael froze and then pulled a blanket over himself. "Night, Angel!" He said quickly.
"Night, Michael." Angel got off the couch and started walking to his bedroom.
Michael noticed the t-shirt Angel had brought into the room. He picked it up and looked at Angel. "What's the shirt for?"
"You're all sweaty and gross. I don't want you making my couch all smelly." Angel waved his hand in the air as he went into his room.
"I see how it is, just forget I'm in pain!" Michael yelled back to him, jokingly. He switched shirts and then got comfortable. He closed his eyes, and despite being terrified, he fell asleep.
Angel reached over from his bed and picked up the book Michael got him for Christmas. He grabbed a pen as well. He started writing.
December 25, 2003 - Worried.
That was all he wrote, before he put the book back on his nightstand. He turned off the light, and fell asleep.
