did anyone see i cant leave him alone i wont leave him alone that buffy said that is a far cry form the women the step over his bleeding body to check on spike. could xander and buffy become closer or is it going to be a buffy and willow that are a couple.
Yeah cause this Buffy is written far better
😉 The writers actually remembered that Buffy is best friends with Xander and her life doesn't revolve around a certain bleached vamp. That was an inexcusable scene.
This whole thing looks amazing! I can't wait for this issue, it was amazing seeing all the different things going on in this issue. I won't repeat everything I've said on other forums in such detail but the things I loved;
1) Buffy's loyalty to Xander. It put a huge smile on my face to hear her tell everyone to group around him. She didn't order him to get up, she just made sure he was covered so he could grieve. And I adored how she flat out refused to leave him initially.
2) The snake lady is back! If there's one other thing besides Renee's death that completely took me by surprise, it was that this arc would progress Willow's development this season. Didn't see that coming, it's a very pleasent surprise! Can't wait to find out what Willow is running from and can't wait to find out what her 'ascending' actually entails.
3) Renee's narration was incredibly sad. Reminded me a lot of Fred as she tried to hold on. And I think her "remember the first rule" is in reference to Buffy saying to Faith in 'Faith, Hope & Trick' "First rule of slaying, don't die!"
4) Dracula is an evil bastard I still believe that, he hasn't shown me anything to believe otherwise. But this doesn't mean he isn't capable of his own kind of love, evident in other vamps like James, Elizabeth, Spike, Dru and Harmony. And I couldn't help but smile when he says Xander isn't alone.
