There are two different movies in the works featuring Wonder Woman (Jessica Beal is one of the candidates for the role in "Justice League"), and I was just wondering who you would cast in the role. I think, given her performance in "Blade 3," Jessica would be a pretty good choice.

My experience with Jessica Biel is really limited to a handful of 7th Heaven episodes and, like you mentioned, Blade III - so this is an opinion based on a very narrow point of view...

If the movies is closely related to the "Linda Carter" Wonder Woman, then I think she has a small chance of being able to pull the roll off well. You would have to see a side of her that I didn't see in Blade (and definitely not 7th Heaven). She might be able to be the cute girl who saves the townspeople from their evil villians.

If the movie is more the like comic, I think she has no chance of pulling it off. Wonder Woman was THE female superhero of her time. There was no Storm, no Elecktra, no Invisible Woman. She was it. Before she "lost her abilities" and started that karate stuff, she was really viewed by the public as the world's most powerful woman. Those are very big shoes to fill for a girl whos greatest roll was the sidekick of a near immortal vampire.

Wonderwoman never made it big in Sweden so I don´t have much to go on then judging who´d be a good choice. SMG as Wonderwoman a MTV Awards are the most I´ve seen and since that was a spoof it´s not much to go on. So I can only judge much some pictures I´ve seen.

A couple of years ago then it seemed Joss was going to be a part of the film someone mentioned Charisma and based on looks I have no trouble with it.As a character I´m not so sure, but who knows? Not that I think she will be considered. I have think about this a little bit more I guess.

How old are Wonderwoman supposed to be anyway?

I'd heard a rumor that Jennifer Lopez was being considered, and my thought was "NO! NO, NO, NO! ABSOLUTELY NO!" Whedon project or not (I know he's not on it anymore, but he was at the time), I would have boycotted that movie.

I might have said Jessica Alba, but she's already done the superhero thing. I honestly can't think of anyone else who might be able to do it. Maybe they'll have to get a newcomer.

During the time Whedon was involved with the project I bet there were 50 rumors concerning different actresses who were considered for the project. Biel was one of them.

If one wanted to search Whedonesque there's a posting by Joss somewhere where after he was released from the project he insinuated pretty hard, if not outright stated he was going to go with this one...

On the current status of the 2 films.

The Justice League and Wonder Woman films have been in production for a while now. Mainly League has been making the headlines because they were just unable to get filming going because of tax problems and finalizing locations.

Today we can bring you an update for both films, good for one and bad for another. First, Devin from CHUD says that producer Joel Silver told him that Justice League has been "tabled." This means the film hasn't been officially canceled but it is not likely to be happening anytime soon.

Silver also commented on Wonder Woman, saying that it takes a while for these films to be made, but that it is still under production.

The last we heard on who George Miller was going to cast as Wonder Woman, wasn't it more or less for sure it was going to be this one...

Megan Gale. She's an Australian model.
