We all know that the Slayer and Vampire issue is supposed to be secret. Supposed. Then how do Warren, Andrew and Jonathan know about that, and that Buffy is the Slayer? Any theories? Did they follow her the high school and saw her slaying vampires, made notes, took pictures... what's the deal? Or maybe they were hiding behind the book shelves in the library and listened to every word the gang were saying? Since when do they know about that secret? Why didn't they tell anyone else? Or did they?
In season 6 they already knew everything about the Slayer, vampires, demons, watcher, etc. When did they find out and how?
 
Well Jonathan knew because of going to high school with them, Buffy just happened to be there whenever something happened, plus the whole Graduation thing (though I did wonder whether Xander and co actually told everyone the truth about what was happening). It doesn't explain how they knew so much about her, but they could have got info from a vampire/demon or something.
 
They also knew magic and how to summon various demons. I guess when you get involved with the supernatural stuff, you learn about what the slayer is and since they were in Sunnydale and had gone to school with her thay put the Leicester together.
 
Knowing about vampires and demons is one thing. I'm sure most of Sunnydale's people know about that. But the Slayer thing.... how could they know when it's supposed to be so well hidden?
 
It's hidden from normal people, but I'm pretty sure anyone, who knows about the supernatural, knows about the Slayer.

Okay... how? And why don't they go ahead and tell anyone else, to the world, spread the world that there is such thing as Slayers. Still, I understand knowing about supernatural things, but Slayers... it doesn't explain.
 
I guess the existence of vampires and demons was more of an open secret in Sunnydale, especially in the later seasons. This is kind of lampshaded with Buffy getting the Class Protector Award and saying their class has the lowest mortality rate ever. So they definitely know something's going on. Plus, Jonathon was in Buffy's graduation class and they fought the Mayor and his vampire goons along with Buffy and co, so he definitely knew about vampires. Maybe he just figured the Slayer thing out, he knows by "Superstar".

Well, we know that the magic shop did sell books like "A Treatise on the Mythology and Methodology of the Vampire Slayer." Maybe Warren just pulled a Harmony and skimmed the dust jacket of such a book. 🙂

Seriously, Jonathan obviously knew about the slayer thing in The Prom and Superstar, there is no need for more explanations, IMO.
 
All they had to do was look it up on the internet or search around some books and they could easily find out what Buffy was. Or they could ahve always heard it somewhere in Sunnydale. The Scoobies have blurted out Buffys secret identity more than once.

Yeah, I think it's pretty safe to say that Jonathan knew. He, at the very least knew she was "different", same with Warren, I guess. And since both Jonathan and Andrew had been dabbling with the dark arts, it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to assume they heard/read about it at some point.

It was hinted that Andrew also went to school with them, they just didn't know him, probably because he was younger. So he would probably also have noticed Buffy's... strangeness.

I would say Jonathon knew because he handed her the award at the prom and basically said we know you are different but you are our protector. Also the whole fight at graduation that would be a little hard to ignore in my eyes.

I also got the hint that Andrew's brother tucker I think it was told him about Buffy because she was always forgetting him.

Warren and the robot incident may have caused him to look into Buffy more. Plus he made that buffybot for Spike and we don't know what exactly he had programmed could have been information and Warren got in on it while making the BuffyBot.
