Wondering how a couple of things work..

Hey!

I'd like to be able to see when people reply to a comment I've made or a thread I've started, and it looks like the relevant box is ticked in the alerts area, but I don't seem to get the alerts?
Also, wassup with the little red alert saying '15' hovering on the media tab, do I need to do something about that?
Also... how do I not be classed as a 'townie', haha?!

Also, what is the karma button for, as in, how is it different to the like button?

You get alerts when someone likes your post or quotes it or mentions your name with an @ symbol in front of it.
For example @jls is asking some good questions.
The red alert above the media tab shows the number of new images. Click on the media tab to see the pictures.
Townie lasts until you have a certain number of posts.

@Ethan Reigns r.e. karma, I've been wondering how reputation points work. Can you choose how many points to give someone? Usually when I give karma it's just the one point but sometimes it's been 2, though I've no idea how. 😕

@jls, if you don't like the "Townie" label and don't want to wait until you have more posts, you can change it by clicking on your name on the top right, going to "Personal Details" and filling out the field that says "Custom Title."

I think they are a kind of milestones. You get trophy points when you have recieved a certain amount of likes or have posted a certain amount of post.

Click on your name in the top right and then Preferences. You can set the time zone there. 🙂

I think so, but I'm not sure. Did you look through Joyce's Gallery?

If you have Gimp photo or photoshop, it's fairly easy to make your own too. 🙂
