I will be supporting England, tho' I suspect I'll get to watch the games in the kitchen, as Mrs P hates footy...I really hope they do well this time but I have an awful feeling that they'll let me down again...all we can ask is that they all play to the best of their abilities and not give up like last time against Brazil.

Slightly off-topic but I reckon I must be the only member who can remember watching England win the World Cup, or any major trophy for that matter...

I'll just take this opportunity to remind everyone that that was in 1966 😛

The US hasn't got a prayer in the group they got - which is a shame because US soccer really needed them to have a great world cup year.

Nah, our household won't be watching any football during the World Cup....bores me rigid, & thankfully the hubby doesn't like footie either - I might stretch to buying an England Flag for the boys room though, as they do like football...don't know what went wrong there! 😉 😛 They have Freeview in their bedroom, if it's on that, they can watch it upstairs, but it's SO NOT going on in the living room! 'lol' They'd have to tie me up & gag me first before I'll let football grace my TV screen! 😀

Not a pretty game but at least we got the result we needed. England were fairly poor in the second half and the ref was giving out some strange decisions but we won...didn't feel like a proper victory though...
