Even if he is not a racist, which I have yet to see or not see, I still think that everything he wants to do is a little extreme and too good to be true. We've all heard the no more taxes stuff before. And I don't think that totally shutting the country away from the rest of the world is the answer.

It's not about shutting the country away from the rest of the world. It's about not meddling in their politics. He's all for open trade and being friends, but NOT for shifty alliances and policing the world, and REALLY not for handing out billions of dollars to countries who are just going to build huge arsenals with it and then become a threat to US. Like, oh, say, IRAN.

I'd like to second the sentiment that the EU has been very, very good to us, and we won't soon forget it. I mean, we were in dire bloody straits, believe me. Our own governments certainly can't take the credit for the Celtic Tiger, seeing as they were all either too woefully inept or shamelessly corrupt to have had a hand in it.
