worst acting ever on BTVS and ATS

Bad acting on either of them??? thats hard. I suppose some of the extras on the early seasons of buffy you could see grumpy ones.

um.... I can't think of anything.

oh. Nicholas Brendon did some bad acting early on in Buffy season 1 (they didn't show it of course) but you can see it on outtakes.

Some of the special guest stars have been pretty rough.
As far as regular actors go, everyone is spot-on almost all the time. Except.... <LazyDolphin pauses to look around, noting the location of the nearest exits in case he needs to flee for his life>
David Boreanaz. Angel was pretty horribly wooden at first. He got progressively better, and once he hit his stride he was groovy, but he was awful for pretty much all of buffy season 1.

i think the worst was in Reptile Boy because of SMG she was not the best in it

ASHANTI! Season 7 of Buffy as Lissa.
God that was horrible!

I'm in agreement with Lazy Dolphin and Evil Jesus. I think DB wasn't always the most believable guy...

You know what I always thought DB was like really bad at?
When he got angry, his face would twitch around all over the place, and he'd huff so loud you wouldnt be able to hear anyone else talking.
But when he moved to Angel, he got better 😉

i thought the guy who acted Dracula was pretty bad, but other than that i think the vast majority of the acting has been spot on.

Quick example of bad D.B. acting (or, I guess to be more specific, MIS-acting) comes to mind:

In one of the early Season 3 episodes, Buffy has a dream about Angel. He shouts "Go to Hell!" at her and then it cuts to a shot of him decomposing. He laughs and says "I did."

He totally blows the line. It's supposed to be Go to Hell. *I* did. As in, "Go to hell, which is where you sent ME you perky little bitch".
But he reads it as Go to Hell. I *did*, which makes it sound like he's arguing with himself.

I love David Boreanaz, and I'll even agree that he was pretty bad at first...especially in the first ep...he had this funky New Yorker accent...a 200 some-odd year old vampire is not supposed to talk as ghetto as I do 🙂

David and Julie didn't act like their characters in the pilot. Darla seemed very afraid of the Master and didn't know what a slayer is. Angel seemed very suave. They had it down by "Angel".

yeah, Boreanaz started off poorly, but I'd say he's amongst the best now. Certainly the most improved.

Ashanti should stick to singing til she gets better. I didn't like Angel in BUFFY S1. DB was acting like he could barely move his face muscles. It seemed unnatural to talk like that.
