worst acting ever on BTVS and ATS

I couldn't get my head around whether Kendra's acting was simply dreadful or whether she was having trouble with an accent - she seemed to deliver most of her lines in a horribly stiled way - "I'm Ken-draaaarrrrrrr, the vampirrrrrreeeeeeee slayyyyyyerrrrrrrrr"

I'm still not sure whether that was deliberate or not!

Other than that I'll have to agree with most others - Angel was pretty bad in season one, but he's really developed since then.

SMG's crying in 'Triangle' when she thinks Anya and Xander are splitting up is pretty bad, but her proper emotional scenes are normally really believable.

I was just watching "Teachers Pet" and have to say that the woman who played the She-mantis did a horrible job of acting, i just don't think she was right for the part.

What really bothered me though, was that she obviously had either an Australian or New Zealand accent, and didn't do such a great job of hiding that.

@ Kindred, have you considered the option that Joss didn't mind the accent? Perhaps her character had an australian origin?

@ Rene, does beauty have anything to do with acting skills?

The accent is in no way what bothered me. What bothered me was that they tried to cover it, ineffectively at that. And if Joss liked it, why did the role require her to disguise it?

And just thought that i would mention that i have nothing against an Australian accent, as i myself have one (i live there for ten years).

you know that was actually kind of shallow and im sorry i said she wasnt pretty it has nothing to do with her acting abilities and im sorry

Worst acting in my opinion would be the ENTIRE span of Season 1. I think the actors were kind of getting into their niche, but I just didn't think the acting was as good as it could be. If I had to name a specific individual, it would be David. He looked really stone-cold and didn't move around much. But he's way better now ... probably one of the better actors on both shows.

totally true.he is such a wonderful actor!

bad actings:
*smg in triangle.she just sucked when she cried!
*ashanti
*michelle t. in a lot of scenes where she had to cry

david rocks.yeah, true,in season one he looked nervous.but think about this.in theory angel was nervous too.he had to pretend to be human in front of buffy, then when she discovered the truth he felt werid,i mean he was a vampire,in lvoe with a sixteen years old school girl.who wouldnt be nervous?

I have one!

I was watching 'Lover's walk' this morning and the bit where Spike's bantering with those other vampires and they compare him to being soft like baby food or something and then he says 'let's give baby a taste' and then they're fighting and spike says 'did baby like his supper? then why doesn't baby have a nap?'

that whole bit just makes me cringe cos it's so bad!

The worst of the worst was Ashanti but some of you have to admit that even Sarah Michelle Gellar did over act in some instances.
Such as Trangle and even Michelle Tractenberg really got iritating in the episode Him.
What do you guys think of Dru, I thnk she was a good character but some people say she had bad acting
