Well, I am definitely not a fan of Killow, but I think the ending to their ship was pretty traumatizing for Kennedy.
She was really in love with Willow and stuck around for quite awhile believing that Willow was really in love with her. Then she found out that "LOL NOPE" that wasn't true.

And now (season 9 spoiler)
Willow is going to get a new girlfriend who will probably meet the same fate as Kennedy

If it hadn't been for that detail, I'd change to Giles/Jenny. The way in which Angelus arranged for her body to be found by Giles, adding torturous insult to fatal injury, was the worst ending of a ship once you leave out the metaphysical implications in Fred's death.

Giles and Wesley are my two favourite characters so to see them so utterly heartbroken just devastates me.

A little off topic but has anyone else noticed that it's almost always the girl that dies and leaves the male? Giles/Jenny, Wesley/Lilah, Wesley/Fred, Xander/Anya. In a way you could probably say Angel/Darla, Angel/Cordelia as well. When it was a female being left and not a male (Willow/Tara) she ended up almost destroying the world. Not looking so feminist now Joss...

Oh goodness, I agree with a lot of things previously said. Fred and Wesley probably the most because just when they realize that they love each other and are together as a couple for not even an entire episode when she dies. In addition to Wesley having to watch Fred die, he has to live with and guide the demon that killed her. So he has to essentially she her every day but it isn't her, it is just Illryia in Fred's shell.
 
Worst: Cordelia and Angel.

Seriously, WTF Joss. They officially accepted their love at the end of season 3, and then in season 4 you had Cordelia brainwashed the whole time. Then you had Cordelia come back when she was dead. You've been building this epic romance since season 2, and we never got to see them together, technically this ship never even got a chance to sail...
 
For me I would say Fred and Wesley.

Wesley loved her for years and when he finally gets the girl she dies. It was so sad and tragic.
 
WORST: Giles and Jenny, honorable mention to Tara and Willow
SADDEST: Wesley and Fred, honorable mention to Anya and Xander
 
For me, Wesley and Fred's ending was the saddest. When you think about her soul being destroyed too, and that meaning Wesley can't be reunited with her in the afterlife, it just makes it even sadder. 🙁

--THEY'D JUST GOTTEN BACK TOGETHER! That sucks on so many levels.
Giles and Jenny.

Cordelia and Angel.-At least they got to say goodbye.

Spike and Buffy.-The only reason this is last is because I cried tears of joy and sadness when Buffy said, "I love you." and it's not really a COMPLETE ending.

Eh, I guess Fresley's end is pretty sad. BUT, it's always ruined for me when Wesley says that he loved Fred BEFORE HE'D MET HER.

A soul can't be destroyed. Didn't Angel say so?
 
Wes/Fred hands down. They are destined not to be together. First there's Frunn, then nothing, then love, then death! And even after they both die they still can't be together. I'm gunna cry just thinking about it.. 🙁

Dr. Sparrow said that Fred's soul was consumed by the fires of Illyria's resurrection.

Admittedly, it doesn't say destroyed per se, so the status of her soul might be open to interpretation.

Yeah, so, it's possible.

I myself, always just assumed that Fred was still stuck in Illyria somewhere, trying to get out. Hence her growing feelings towards Wesley, and even her memories.
 
Spike and Buffy is the worst ship ending for me. I simply think it's stupid that he came back two weeks later in LA and didn't go see her. I know his excuse and I think it's lame.

Saddiest umm...maybe Jenny and Giles. His face when he saw her 🙁

I would say Tara and Willow, but i've never been into them much. Not sure why 😵
 
worst I'm not sure, but saddest for me is either they way Angel lost his soul, and turned into Angelus. Or When Giles found Jenny on the bed, after thinking she had planned a romantic night for them.

Although Tara being shot was sad, but sudden. Also Xander leaving Anya at the church
 
Are you guys kidding?? Did you watch Seeing Red?? 😛 My point goes to Willow and Tara...they just got back together and it was so sudden. Xander and Anya were in the middle of the battle, they knew what they were facing...Will/Tara were just talking in their bedroom :-( close second for Giles and Jenny!

Willow/Oz was the saddest for me. EVERY time I watch Wild at Heart or New Moon rising, as soon as Willow starts crying, I cry/ I loved Willow and Oz, they were so adorable.

The Worst would probably be the way they ended Cangel before it had even begun.
 
For me its Cangel and Tillow :'( Cangel were ripped apart just as they realized their feelings. And then when she comes back its only to die!!! Same with Tillow they get back together only to die!!

Xanya gets an honorable mention tho cause they just decide to give it another go and then she dies!! so unfair! Though I'm sensing a pattern...screw you Joss -_-
