Would Cordy let Angel bite her if it meant saving his life?

It entirely depends on the Season/situation.

On Buffy? No way. Cordelia's too much of a pragmatist.

On Angel? Maybe, I could see Cordy doing it in late S2/ early S3.
But even then she'd try and set up some guarantee for her safety like 'Wesley, hit him on the head and pull him off me after a little while, okay?'

I was going to go with hell yeah but that's because I'm stuck in mid-season 3 Cordy who was all about Angel 😱

Cordy S1/S2/beginnings of S3 would only do it if the guy was on his deathbed and if someone she trusted, like Wes, told her to. Like thetopher said, she would also require insurance, blind faith or simply not giving a crap wouldn't cut it like with Buffy... Mid S3 Cordy would have given Angel her blood without much thought, but she was already brainwashed by that point. I mean, if she ascends/physically dies without any guarantees other the becoming a higher being (something she felt deserving of for some reason) than anything's possible.

Cordy on Buffy - not in a million years, only if Buffy sank Angel's fangs into her neck.

A follow up question to the one you asked: Would Angel have tried to get away from Cordy the same way he did with Buffy? Would he have resisted less? Would Cordy have an orgasm too? According to Joss the Graduation Day bite scene happened the way it did because there was a deep love between Buffy and Angel.

I might go a little further than that. In the later Seasons of "Angel," after Cordy became a Higher Being (at which point, her blood might be even more of a cure all for whatever ails vampires, she would go so far as to get Wes' sworn promise that if the worst happened, and she were either accidentally or intentionally turned (like, maybe it was all a trick by Angelus, just pretending to be Angel) he would make sure that she never survived, and that Angelus, himself, would be dusted, as well.

I think it all depends on the actual nature of the 'cure'. Does it HAVE to be a bite, specifically? Or would it be more about the blood?

I don't think Cordy is as selfish as everyone seems to think she is. After she finds out about Buffy and - yes, reluctantly - joins the Scoobs, she starts to change, and she's willing to put her life on the line, though she gripes about it constantly. The part that strikes me most is the scene in 'Helpless' when Buffy asks Cordy to drive her home, and Cordy replies 'of course', as though Buffy didn't have to ask, it was just assumed.

If it was blood over bite, I think Cordy back in S2 of BtVS would have been willing to bleed to save Angel's life. I don't think she'd object much to having her blood taken like one would at a blood drive. I think she'd complain, but I also don't think she'd hesitate.

If it was more about the action of the bite rather than the blood, then I think it would be something younger Cordelia would want no part of. She didn't know Angel, and she's right in what she says in S1 of AtS, whether she was on the fringes or not, Angelus hurt a lot of them, and I don't think she would be willing to put her life on the line for him back then. It took until S2 of AtS for them to develop a real bond, and even then, I think she'd need reassurance that she wouldn't die.

I could see that. Cordelia was all about insurance/being pragmatic. 'If this goes wrong this is what we should do.' kinda thing.

Hmn, would 'higher being' blood cure vampirism? I mean it is pure and cleansing (probably) but I don't know if it would 'wash out' the demon or whatever.
Just as likely to kill the vampire trying it come to think of it, or maybe the blood would be 'foul' like with those fish guys.

OT but I love that scene. Cordy doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve but her loyalty and emotion is there when her friends need her.

Same, it's one of my favorite moments
At her core, Cordy is a good person, even early on, it just takes more time for her to show it on the outside.

Cordy in Buffy is basically Buffy's alternate self - the Buffy who wasn't called, at least that's what I perceived her function to be. Therefore, if Buffy was able to commit the numerous number of almost selfless acts then Cordy was, which we see when she sacrifices her potentiality for true love and happiness to become a higher being. Yes, that turned out to be a load of huey, but the intent was the same, which is also manifested in Your Welcome and other occasions. She's one of my all time favourites!

Cordy may have gone about it more pragmatically, i.e. let's do it in a hospital so I'm right where I need to be, but she would have still done it, especially post Doyle's death - I think Cordy would have risked, if not actively sacrificed her life for Angel/others

Depends.
On Buffy I just can't see that she would. She doesn't have that connection to him then. I mean at the core she's a good person, but it's a bit like Buffy with her "what am I - Saint-Buffy?" I'm simply not sure what would make Cordy, on Buffy, feel like it was worth risking her life to save Angel's. But if there had been a persuasive enough situation, maybe.

On Angel. Definitely she would've. In season 1-2 it would have been a great moment I bet. Season 3 and on it would have been ridiculously cheesy so I'm glad they didn't go there.

Never mentioned in any way, of course, but it could have made for an intriguing plot device. Of course, some might see it as a worn out element, since we've already had two different "flavors" of blood, Slayer and Mora, that react in some way with with vampire metabolism, three, if you count Hamilton's, but that was used after Cordy had left the show, so it wouldn't have been a factor when she was still a regular.
