Would Faith Have Gone Down That Path...

I think Faith would have been dangerous either way. She was already shaped by her childhood. She was wild and didn't acknowledge authority. Being the Slayer may have helped. It put her in situations where she got to see and experience darkness first hand.

But she reveled in the kill, where Buffy didn't. Proving that the lust for violence wasn't a slayer trait. That was something all of Faith's.
 
She went to the dark side because she was jealous of the praise Buffy always received, even though she had the slaying powers too. Remember she said, ''Everyone always asks 'why can't you be more like Buffy'? But did anyone ever ask if you could be more like me?''

If Faith hadn't have been called, she wouldnt have been in that situation, nor would she have killed a man.

When Faith first appeared she was just outgoing and rebellious.
