Would Hemery Buffy had hung out with Willow and Xander?

Do you think the Hemrey Cheerleader Buffy would have hung out with Willow and Xander? Or would she had been like how Cordelia was to them before Buffy arrived?
 
I feel like it's pretty established that she would not have hungout with them. She even says she was worse than Cordelia. I think it's only becoming the slayer and being ostracized when she couldn't hang out with her friends anymore (and eventually turned burned down the gym) that she started looking at her life differently.
 
As the character was depicted in the movie (not canon, I know) she would not have hung out with anyone not in her own special little circle before being Called, but she gradually came to see just how shallow and air headed they were ("The ozone layer? Oh, yeah, we have to get rid of that") but her association with, primarily, Merrick, her first Watcher, gradually brought her to the realization that being part of the "in" crowd wasn't necessarily the great character reference that she had thought it was. The girl who only wanted to "graduate, visit Europe, marry Christian Slater, and die" before she was Called evolved gradually into the Buffy that we first saw in "Welcome To The Hellmouth, whose wish at that time might have been to, "graduate, meet (whoever you prefer to name) and STAY ALIVE," at least for as long as possible. Surrounding herself with shallow friends would no longer have been a priority.
 
I don't think so. I don't recall seeing enough of Buffy's pre-Slayer life to say whether she was mean/exclusionary, but she was definitely shallow. Also, in 'Welcome to the Hellmouth' she seemed very eager to hangout with Cordelia and even after the things she says to Willow, she still seemed to want to hangout with Cordelia, "Cordelia's been really nice... to me, anyway." At that point Buffy wanted to befriend both Cordelia and Willow, so maybe that's an indication that she wasn't exclusionary; however, Willow definitely would not want to hangout with Hemery High Buffy. So to answer the question: no.

At that point, Buffy was the new kid in town, who knew no one. She was eager to make new friends. She would probably have wanted to hang out with Harmony, too, if Harm had encouraged her. She was feeling her way, seeing where she could fit in.

Agreed. Cordelia kind of glommed on to Buffy on her arrival and Buffy wasn't aware she couldn't be friends with both of them. When it did come time to choose however, Buffy chose Willow.

Obviously, or we wouldn't have had the series that we all love so well. It also helped, no doubt, that Cordelia and her group of hangers on were pretty much exactly what Buffy had been before being Called (at least, she was in the movie, and seemed so in that one small shot we had of Merrick initially approaching her) and was trying to get away from in Sunnydale.

I think Buffy saw what Cordelia was like and decided that she didn't want to be that type of girl anymore.
 
Not a chance, if it weren't for her calling, she would've have given a shit about them and would have been on Cordy's side.
