Would Joyce have to suffer her illness again if she was resurrected?

In AtS Season 2, Darla was brought back but she had to suffer her illness again that she had before she died. If Dawn had resurrected Joyce in "Forever", would she had to suffer with her illness again like Darla?

Hm, interesting question. I suppose she would have under the rules the -verse has stipulated through Darla.

Woman X is dying of syphilis - dies and becomes Darla the vampire - dusted/physical body destroyed - brought back in human body and is sick again as though her vampiric centuries were no more than a suspension from this .

Obviously Joyce's story would skip the vampire step but otherwise I can't see how it would be different really.

What this line of thought makes me more interested in is the fact that they got Darla's original human body back. She'd been dusted... from Angel and Spike we know that the soul can be brought back but they still have their original bodies. I find it interesting that W & H don't just bring Darla's soul or likeness back but her actual human pre-vampire body. (over-thinking this I know 😉)

If Darla had to suffer through syphilis after her resurrection, then Joyce would probably have to suffer through her brain tumor as well.

I might be wrong on this one (let's face it it's been a while) but didn't Joyce die of an aneurysm or something along those lines. From my understanding the cancer wasn't back (although the cancer might have caused this at some point). So maybe one day problems would have arose again, but as it was Joyce wasn't sick.
